Someone else, like children, could pick up the phone and hear what you are saying. This could upset them, let alone the member. With that being said, there was an incident and if I, Curt, find out it s a member or a member who put someone else up to this kind of thing, you stand a good chance of getting barred from this Post for life. If I have anything to do with it, possible criminal charges could be put on you as well. I will not tolerate this behavior at this Post. You have been warned for the first and last time. PAGE 3 THE TRIPLE DEUCE January 1, 2014 The Ladies Auxiliary Clear Spring Legion Post 222 invited Santa to visit on December 13th from 2-4. We provided light refreshments, crafts, gifts and goodies bags to the children. We had a good turn out of about 25 children and a lot of adult volunteers. Many thanks go out to so many special people for their time and generosity. We want to thank Linda Williams for all the candy for the goodie bags Santa handed out as well as the girls & boys bags filled with great things. A quote from one of the boys, "Wow I hit the mother load!" They were wonderful. Great gifts were provided from Cathy Mills and Cindy Blair. The children got to pick from a crazy hat, (big demand from the kids), or an animal snuggle blanket and a coloring book with crayons. Richard & Mary Cutshaw donated handmade wooden cars that our own Auxiliary member Mary painted. The Ladies Auxiliary Meetings are every 3rd Monday at 7:00pm We had great crafts that kept the children busy donated by Mary House. Volunteers Hannah & Rachel House gave their time to help organize the craft and helped the children assemble them. They even took some time to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what they ve been up to this year. We can't express our gratitude enough to our wonderful Santa, Rick Rowe for giving us his time year after year. Members and guests celebrated Annabelle Kayser s birthday during Tuesday night Bingo by donating money towards tip jar tickets to decorate her cake. Although she did not open any holders, she did win a game of Bingo. We all love Annie and wish her many more birthdays! A new year is here and it is my hope that this year will be as successful as last year. We will again have numerous events and fundraisers throughout the year which provide us with the funds to support our community and post. I look forward to working these events with you and our members, without the support of our membership these functions would not be possible. I would also like to mention that we still have some S.A.L. unpaid dues from members. There is a list beside the books in the bar of the members who are still unpaid. We have a great membership and we need each and every member to be successful. I hope the New Year brings everyone happiness, health and success. Rob Bowman, SAL Commander
