IAPS Rules and Regulations Scoring 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw No points for a loss Competition rules There is a maximum of 10 players per squad The group order will be decided by the number of points scored by each team. In the event of a tie on points the following will decide final placings: - goal difference - goals scored - result between the two teams - a series of 3 penalty shuffles To ensure consistency across all qualifying rounds this year, IAPS has created the draw and timings for each qualifier, instead of the organisers. IAPS has consulted England Hockey to ensure that all age groups are playing within the recommended guidance. U13 children should play no more than 105 mins of Hockey per day. This has been abided to when creating the draws. Whether this is your first time at the National Finals or you have qualified before, we hope your team enjoys the day. IAPS passionately believes in the importance of sport as part of an all-round education for its pupils. First and foremost, sport is about participation and enjoyment. Good Luck! IAPS Sport If still tied then sudden death penalty shuffles In the event of a draw in the knock out stages, the winner will be decided by: - a period of Golden Goal extra time up to a maximum of 5 minutes - a series of 3 penalty shuffles by each team If still tied then sudden death penalty shuffles Complimentary tea, coffee, juice and fruit are available all day in Repton s Sports Centre, along with homemade biscuits and cake.
