Please find below the link to the Local Offer Consultation Survey. www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/localoffer-spring17 Norfolk County Council are keen to hear your views before this closes on the 31 st March 2017. Many thanks. Mr Wilson and Mrs Thurston Let s Hear it for the Girls! On 19th March, under the supervision of the talented Miss Gibbs our former PE Teacher, the Litcham Cheerleading team attended a competition held at the University of East Anglia Campus. The girls performed their routine faultlessly and came an impressive 2nd place! Katie Duthie was awarded the prize of Individual Shining Star as her jumps were judged the most outstanding. The girls also got a chance to take part in a stunt and pom-pom workshop during the day. This is what Ayla Freji-Nichols from 9S had to say about the day: Last week Litcham Lions Cheerleading squad competed in a competition held at the UEA. We gave a cheer performance which included dancing, jumps, tumbling and lots of stunts. In our performance we did very well and managed to come second in the competition! It was so much fun and we all hope to compete in more competitions in the future. PE Department 1

School Visits Breckland District Council A group of our School Council students were invited to Take Over at Breckland Council for a day. The project had them working in teams with Councillors and council staff to work out what the priorities of the council should be. They performed wonderfully, and the project leader said that they were ' a wonderful group of students and a credit to the school' Here s what some of our pupils said about the day: Today I learnt that the Council are extremely hardworking and put in lot of effort to deal with people s issues and concerns. Many issues involve the Council having to liaise with the Police. (eg Crime etc). The activity I enjoyed most would be the presentation because I actually enjoyed answering questions under pressure it was fun. The fact that we had a conversation with adults that we d never interacted with before and were treated as adults ourselves was a very enjoyable experience. Caitlin Miles 10C I learnt that the Council has a lot to do that I didn t know about. Plus they put a lot of effort in to their activities as well. The best bit was the end bit which was producing the magazine and the presentation. Lucy Clack 9W I learnt that there is a great deal of partnership working and team working that goes in to running the Council. I also learnt that there are so many problems that cost money; and you can t please everyone! I enjoyed becoming Leader of the Council and making big decisions. I also enjoyed creating a magazine about everything we did on the day. I even answered the phone to a resident! To improve the day I think there could have been more activities but other than that it was great! Harry Marshall 10C Mr Clark 3
