This is why North Sails has carefully selected the best materials for your crew: ultra-technical, practical and long-lasting, they are all designed to meet the very highest standards in terms of quality and innovation. Crew Collection Special Features UV PROTECTION Protection factor (UPF). NORLAM 3L This is our most waterproof and breathable outerwear construction. The construction starts with a 3 layer fabric consisting of a durable woven face fabric that is laminated to a waterproof breathable membrane which is backed by a comfortable, lightweight tricot on the interior. NORLAM 3L garments have fully taped seams, water resistant zippers, storm flaps and protective closures which add strength to the garment and prevent water from penetrating. TACTEL Special fiber, ultra-soft, lightweight and breathable. Quick-dry and non iron Breathable and light Abrasion resistant DWR (Durable Water Repellent), is a coating added to fabrics to make them water-resistant. ANTIBACTERIAL Garments are treated with antibacterial and odor-control technology. TEFLON TREATMENT An invisible treatment that creates a shield and protects the garment without impacting its weight, look, softness, colour or breathability. The fibers become completely waterproof, and stain resistant. technical OXFORD NORTH SAILS Synthetic fiber with high levels of resistance to abrasion and traction, but also breathable and lightweight. If wet, it dries quickly. KEVLAR Synthetic fiber, particularly strong and extremely resistant to heat and abrasion, even when wet. Versatile and long-lasting.
