Triathlon (C) Date Time 500M Open Swim, 10 mi. bike, 5K Run June 9 6am Venue: Promontory Point Park Tri-athletes who register thru RMSG will compete in the Greeley Triathlon, a USAT sanctioned event. A USAT license is required for the triathlon. If you do not have a USAT membership, purchase a 1- day license for $12 when you pick up triathlon packet. Triathlon packets can be picked up at Promontory Point Park, (1630 Promontory Circle in Greeley) on June 8, 11am-4pm or on June 9, 6-6:45am. Pre-race meetings will be held on June 8 at 12:00 and 3pm. The transition area opens at 6am. Bikes may be racked after the transition area opens. You must be body marked before you will be allowed into the transition area. Participating athletes will be the only ones allowed into the transition area before, during and after the race. There is no required bike check-in. You are responsible for making sure your bike is in proper working order. Athletes who register thru RMSG for the triathlon are required to pay the RMSG base registration fee. To avoid paying this fee, register directly thru the Greeley Triathlon Club website. Those who register directly thru the GTC website will not receive RMSG awards or results recognition. For those who register thru RMSG awards will NOT be given out immediately after the triathlon but will be mailed to top finishers. ENTRY GUIDELINES & GAMES INFORMATION Affiliations NSGA - The Rocky Mountain Senior Games are sanctioned by the National Senior Games Association. 2013 is NOT a qualifying year for NSGA. 2014 is the next qualifying year. USMS - The RMSG Swim Meet is a United States Masters Swimming Recognized Event, Recognition #323-R003. USTA - The Rocky Mountain Senior Games is an member of the United States Tennis Association. USATF - The RMSG Track & Field Meet is listed on the USA Track & Field website calendar. Visit www.usatf.com/calendars and search for the Rocky Mountain Senior Games. USAPA - The RMSG Pickleball Tournament is sanctioned by the USA Pickleball Association. USAT - RMSG tri-athletes compete in the Greeley Triathlon, a USAT sanctioned event. Age Divisions & Eligibility Any person, male or female, age 50 or better as of December 31, 2013 is eligible to participate in sport competition. Age divisions for most events are: 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95-99, 100+. As noted in the Rule Book some non-qualifying events will use 10 year increments for age divisions. Age division for DOUBLES & TEAM events determined by the age of youngest team member as of December 31, 2013. Awards Gold, Silver and Bronze medals awarded to 1 st -3 rd place finishers in each age/gender group. Awards not picked up at the event will be available at the TWO hours after the event is completed. Medals can be mailed for a shipping & handling fee of $3.50 per medal. AWARDS ARE NOT GIVEN IF ATHLETES DO NOT COMPLETE COMPETITION OR FOR A ZERO SCORE. Celebration of Athletes The Celebration of Athletes includes an athlete parade, cauldron lighting ceremony, keynote speaker, dinner and door prize drawings on Thursday, at 6pm. Purchase tickets by May 20, $12 per person. Check In & Photo ID Prior to competing, participants must check in with a Photo ID or other documentation verifying their date of birth.
