It s hard to believe it s already 2017. The Christmas party was a huge success and it would not have been possible without the hard work of all the members on the board, from decorating to collecting door prizes to shopping and the list goes on and on. Thank you to all of the board for their part in making it a big success. I would like to give a special thank you to Smiley for cooking the meat, it was awesome as usual. Also, a special thank you goes to Lee and Jan Nelson and the UNC dining services for baking all the potatoes. I would also like to thank the Committee and Stampede Office Staff for donating the meat and several of the giveaways. Congratulations to Sharon Carbaugh on her selection as the 2016 Top Hand which was awarded during the Christmas party. Thank you for all that you do for the Stampede and the Wranglers throughout the year. Selecting the Top Hand is never an easy task with so many deserving wranglers in the running. So thank you to the Top Hand Committee and all the top hand nominees. Moving forward through the year, if you didn t get your dues paid by December 31st you have until March 4th to get them paid with a late fee. The January general membership meeting will be held on January 11th (This is a week early due to the farm show). This meeting is the annual chili/soup supper. So bring your favorite chili or soup for all to sample and vote for the BEST chili and soup. There will be a prize for the favorite chili and the favorite soup. Please have your soup entries there by 6:30. We ll be sampling and voting from 6:30 to 7:00 then start the meeting. Our general membership meeting in February will return to is regularly scheduled time which is February 15th. This is sign up night so try to attend so we can get you signed up for the 2017 event. Sign-ups start at 6:00 and we will be there until 8:00. As we move into March, scholarship applications are due by March 1st. We had a large number of tips donated to the scholarship fund this past year to help support education. Your board will be at the Stampede office on March 4th from 1:00pm-3:00pm to accept dues and final sign up. March 15th will be the general membership meeting at 7:00pm in the 4H building. As we put the year 2016 in the books I hope that everyone had a fantastic Christmas and a very Happy New Year. Kevin Carbaugh Wrangler President P.O. Box 1461, Greeley, CO 80631 The Wranglers, Inc. Patty Gates is our Committee Chairperson, and with an awesome team, will now oversee Club Level (Skyboxes), Buckle Club, Guest Ranch, Information Station, and the VIP Patio is back under her wing. It looks like the majority of the great team you saw working VIP Patio this past year will be returning for 2017, but we are always looking for more! Thank you Volunteers, you rock! Please talk to me, or Cheryl Munger, if you have any questions. We are planning an Area meeting after the first of the year, and will be in contact soon. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
