A Letter from the Camp Director - Taylor Johnson Dear Skaters, Welcome to Believe to Achieve Winter Skate Camp presented by the Watertown Figure Skate Club. We are very proud to provide a winter camp that is designed to accommodate skaters of all ages and abilities, from beginner to international competitors. Whether you aspire to improve your skating skills for individual or team competitions or you skate for fun, our camp can help you reach your personal skating goals. Believe to Achieve has an exceptional coaching staff with many years of experience and expert knowledge in both USFS and ISI skating programs. Coaches are trained in all disciplines of figure skating and will help you to improve your skating skills in an encouraging fun and safe environment while challenging skaters to take chances and try some new techniques! Our classes are designed to ensure that each skater develops in a safe environment from first time beginners to high level competitors. Campers will also be supervised throughout their stay by friendly and energetic counselors and parent volunteers. We have many great things planned for the skaters during camp and are looking forward to meeting each one of you. 1

Each class is led by a certified professional. After the first session depending on which group the skater is placed in they will move to another on-ice program or get changed for one of our off ice programs. On and Off Ice Classes: Jumps and Spins Learn and perfect different spins and jumps and ways to improve entry, exit, body position and speed. Moves in the Field Emphasize edge quality, control, extension, flow and presentation. Presentation and choreography Explore ways to add expression and body movement to create interesting, fun, and visual appeal to programs. Power Skating Improve strength, endurance and control. Classroom Fun, Interesting, and informative topics will be presented to enhance skating knowledge of the sport of figure skating. Waiver and Release In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the Believe to Achieve Figure Skating Camp related events and activities, agree/give my consent for my child (as parent or guardian) to participate. I acknowledge that ice skating is inherently dangerous, I agree that Believe to Achieve, their agents, servants, and employees shall not be liable to me (my child) for any injury or damage, however caused, resulting directly or indirectly from my child s participation in the camp whether incurred on the ice or otherwise in or about the buildings at any time preceding, during or subsequent to the camp and I hereby discharge Believe to Achieve, their agents, servants, and employees from all actions, claims, and demands I (my child) may have for any such injury and damage. I further acknowledge and agree that Believe to Achieve and camp do not insure and will not be expected, at any time to insure, the safety or the proper state of repair of my child s equipment used by my child during the camp; and that Believe to Achieve does not and shall not be considered to guarantee or warranty the instructional materials used by it during the camp. I also understand that my agreement, releases, and discharges herein shall bind my heirs, legal representatives, and assigns, and shall endure to the benefit of Believe to Achieve their agents, servants, and employees and their successors.
