Regional Ice Hockey Message from the President to the Players I have observed and been associated with hockey and young men s hockey longer than you have had visions of ice and skates (and for Kara and Noelle longer than you have been baking cookies) and for some of you even longer than your parents have been alive. So players this is experience talking to you. Boys, I have no doubt that you will read this program quickly, accept the accolades from your coaches fleetingly, dive into the food and then try to set new tweet, selfie and snapchat records before school tomorrow morning. Before all that and on your way home, give a copy of this program to your Mom or Dad and ask that they put it in a safe place so you can read it in 06 and every so often thereafter. By then you will smile at the pictures of your team and teammates. You will laugh remembering some of the crazy things you did on the bus, at practice and the games. In 06 and beyond you will remember the names of every player on the team and maybe even text one of two about old times. There is even a chance that some of you will be putting your daughter and son on skates for the first time or maybe even be their just starting coach in whatever sport they choose let s hope it s hockey! In doing so you will realize just how interested in your development your coaches at were and how hard they worked to not only make you a better hockey player but also to instill in you Ram Pride. But for now and on your way out of the building tonight, give them a fist bump and a thank you from the heart. Above all and in 06 after re-reading this program hiding in the scrapbook in the closet all those years you will understand even more than you already do now, just how much your parents were, and are, proud of you and your hockey, and just how very much they love you. For tonight, give them a big Thanks and an even bigger hug. Good night, good luck and watch out for the flying pucks!! Grove, or for some of you Grandad
