Our Michigan Team is preparing for a FUN filled weekend with our Friends For Fun Safety and Knowledge! Please take a look at the list on the next page full of reminders about wingless weekend. As our chapters adapt to the changes from Chapter Educators to Chapter Ride Coordinators we want to help you any way we can. Just ask! The 2018 Road Safari will be one of the main things to get the new Ride Coordinators involved and working together to come up with more FUN/ SAFE rides for members. Watch for some announcements of a future ride that might involve a destination for a training module or two along with maybe a rider course. Maybe some members in the levels program will be on the range while other members do a training module at the same location. It s all about members having more fun with coordination of your District Educator, University Coordinator, Ride Coordinator and don t forget the FUN from Membership Enhancement. The district TEAM will do our best to work together and put something together for YOU the members! Another change at the chapter level is the title of Membership Enhancement Coordinator. The new title is Chapter Social and Membership Enhancement Coordinator. Does it sound like more work? Not really it is just a long name Membership Enhancement has always been the officer providing and in charge of FUN! Note to chapter directors and newsletter editors to change the title in newsletters and websites! The new Ride Coordinator officer position is taking the place of the Chapter Educator. There are people asking about some of the requirements and those questions have been addressed by Chuck Jacobs who is one of GWRRA s Rider Education Assistants. Take a look at his bullet points on page 3. If after reading his message you still have questions please contact our Michigan Ride Coordinators. Brent & Sandy Blackburn. Brent will be approving each chapter ride coordinator who is selected by the Chapter Directors. The 2018 Road Safari books are at the printer and you can get them at Wingless Weekend! There is an order form in this newsletter for each chapter to fill out and pickup the booklets at Wingless Weekend. Bring a chapter check and visit the Goodies table to get your booklet along with your goodies. Individuals can purchase Safari Booklets as well. (Cost is $10.00 per booklet) We understand that the Lakeside Resort has booked all their rooms but they have a sister hotel where you can spend your sleeping hours only 3 miles away.
