TEAM FORMATION

KNLL Fosters Community To foster community among Players, Parents, and Volunteers, KNLL Forms teams with a blank slate each year Assigns Managers with a blank slate each year Creates team names each year

Lower Divisions T-Ball, A, AA (BB), AAA (SB) KNLL Forms teams by schools Facilitates friend requests Facilitates family requests (siblings, parents) Team sizes that support development and reps Sometimes Schools are split up Team sizes expand

Upper Divisions AAA (BB), Coast (SB), Majors, Junior KNLL Forms teams for league parity Facilitates parent/child (Manager/player) requests Facilitates sibling requests Meets Little League requirements for team size and age distribution Sometimes Parity isn t as close as we would like Occasionally we have to file waivers for size or age distribution

Baseball Draft All AAA/Majors players must evaluate at least once and are strongly encouraged to attend both sessions for their division Players are evaluated in 6 areas; hitting, infield, fly-balls, pitching, catcher and running. Players are ranked based on scores at evaluations Players are put on teams based on a computer program that uses a Serpentine Draft Pitchers and catchers are balanced among the teams Managers draw a number from a hat that is their team Children of Managers are then placed on their team
