Games Night & Potluck Dinner The Games Night & Potluck Dinner on the First Tuesday of the month continues to gain participants who enjoy the evening where friends and family gather round to share food, play their favorite games and challenge one another for bragging rights! Thank you to all who attend and bring food to share. The food is excellent as the members want to have a little bragging rights in that department too! Kinda nice when you can take home an empty dish knowing everyone enjoyed what you brought. Here is just a small list of the wonderful dishes brought to the First Tuesday in April. Donna Knapp made an awesome crab manicotti. Jerry Moller brought his ever popular stuffed deviled eggs, Helen Kleiner made a pasta casserole which was delicious and Dave & Margie brought a wonderful fresh fruit platter. The list goes on and on I just can t keep track of it all. Thank you one and all. We also had our first Texas Hold Em night playing with Moose Bucks. Mike Mullins was the first to go bust. I saw him outside and thank goodness he only lost his shirt! Dave and Cruz went home with a few bucks while Bruce Kleiner was the big winner! Special Thanks go to our dealer Frank Peck. Donna was the winner of the Mexican train game played by Helen, Ellamay, Rusty, Kathy. On the cribbage board tables things went hot n cold. Ron Heavilin and Ray gave punishing lessons to Ray and Dave Martin by the end of the evening. In the meantime Tammie teamed with my grandson Joe, against Chuck and I and stayed on our heels all the way till at games end we were only separated by 1 or 3 points. Would like to see more of you folks turn out for this food, family, fun and friendly evening. Next month I will be gone fishing with the Mooov n Moose, but I know there will be others to take my place and keep this going. See you in June! Harold Lamb Monday CLOSED Tuesday & Wednesday 3 to 7 PM Thursday & Friday 3 to 10 PM Saturday 12 to 6 PM Sunday 9 to 4 PM Hours will be extended for special events

I would like to say Thank You to all my LOOM Brothers who served as either Elected or Appointed Officers during my 2010-2011 year as your governor. You all were a big help to me and I enjoyed serving and working with you. For those Officers who will be serving with our new Governor, Jake Jacobson for this next year, I hope you serve him as well as you did for me. This past year has been so busy and has gone by so fast (for the most part) for us. Shirley & I would like to thank each and every one of our Friends & Volunteers who are too numerous to list in this message who have so unselfishly given of their time, energy & sometimes money to help us keep our Lodge going. They have cleaned the Lodge, done yard work, done repairs and prepared, cooked, and served over 150 meals and other functions that were put on by both the LOOM & WOTM. As you know the Lodge survives by its volunteers help. As of the close of my official term, on May 1st, Shirley and I will be gone for 6 months. Although we are planning to be back home once a month for a day or two during little adventures we hope to see you at the Lodge on our visits. Thank you again for making my time as your Governor a very treasured time. Fraternally yours, Ron Heavilin/Past Governor

I am writing this message to you as Governor-Elect and will be installed as Governor of the Lodge on April 17th. I want to thank all the outgoing Officers for all their hard work. Due to their strong efforts they have laid the groundwork to put the Lodge on a better financial footing. Our incoming slate of Officers will be striving to find ways to get our Lodge completely out of the woods financially. I also want to thank all the volunteers for various successful activities especially in putting meals together, yard sales, and game days. I will be working closely with our LOOM Officers and Trustees to foster a solid working relationship between the LOOM Officers and the Officers of the WOTM. Together we cam make this a stronger, better Lodge for all. Our general goals for this year are: (1) Promote interesting & pleasurable activities inside the lodge to increase Lodge participation. We have 20 great volunteers that have been conducting a phone survey to find how our members view the lodge and its activities and hopefully, from this info, form a basis for lodge improvements. (2) Promote involvement in the community with groups like Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and involvement in events like Johnny Appleseed Days and Gold Nugget Days, (3) Develop Lodge recognition within local news media with the ultimate goal of getting new members to join. These are many important undertakings and I will need the support of ALL Moose Lodge members. We will be losing key volunteers in the food service area, bartending area and the custodial area and we need to replace them. I know there are many Moose members who are capable and willing to help, if asked. But this creates a problem we don t know who you are unless you step forward and let us know your preferred area of involvement. So, if you want to volunteer in any capacity please call me at 873-3973. It will require MOOSE MEMBER SUPPORT TO SUSTAIN THIS IN FUTURE YEARS. Fraternally, Jake Jacobson, Governor New member applications must be accompanied by the $20.00 one time Application Fee plus the $60.00 dues which can be submitted with the application or paid at the Orientation Night Program. Former member applications must include the $20.00 fee plus dues for a total of $80.00 submitted with the application. Transfer fees for members wishing to transfer between lodges are now $20.00.

I am glad to serve our Chapter and Lodge as Senior Regent for the third time. It isn't really a hard job to fill, you just have to keep on top of things. As a family Moose Lodge I would like to see more activities for our younger members. I have a few ideas and will try and see if they would work well for us. We have some wonderful co-worker's that are always in the side wings helping when they can; and my hat goes off to our Chef's. For the most part we are only home cooks who really enjoy cooking. Tula is one of our professional cook's who volunteers her services. By the time you are reading this I should be installed as Senior Regent that will happen on our first Chapter meeting in May. We have two Chairmen's positions open. Moose Charities and Family Involvement. Let's all get involve and make this a fun year for our Lodge. Thank you for all your support.
