Changes to schedules, procedures, facilities and services along with any other essential updates, will be communicated to the teams by competition management if required on the website of ETU. Changes to the competition schedule will also be published on the information boards in the venue. 2
General information The 13 th ETU European Poomsae Championships will be held from 7 to 8 May 2017 in the Faliraki Sports hall in the Faliraki area on Rhodes Island. Technical Delegate and Competition Supervisory Board The World Taekwondo Federation appointed Mr Park (Italy) as Technical Delegate of the 13 th ETU European Poomsae Championships. The European Taekwondo Union appointed the following Competition Supervisory Board Members, chaired by the Technical Delegate: Mr Ali Sagirkaya (Turkey) Mr Mustapha Moutarazak (Netherlands) Dr Ioannis Theodorakis (Greece) Mr Kenneth Schunken (Netherlands) Appointed International Referees 5
Team registration Only two (2) representatives of each team are allowed to enter the registration room. Please make sure you have all relevant documents with you when attending the registration. Relevant documents are: - Overview of your athletes per category - WTF GAL licences of all athletes - ETU Coach license card(s) Qualification coaches The minimum qualification requirements for coaches are as follows: All coaches must be at least 18 years of age. All Coaches / Trainers must be holders of the ETU License (granted by participation in a ETU Coach Seminar). Coaches / Trainers that do not have the ETU Coach License shall pay a 200 euro fine at the registration desk. Applicable rules The WTF Poomsae Competition Rules (March 2014) plus the Poomsae Ranking Bylaw (2017) are applicable. With the exception of the male and female under 30 and under 40 categories, all categories will use the cut-off system. All freestyle categories will use the cut-off system and only one (1) round will be applicable. During the Head of Team meeting, more information will be given with regard to the applicable rules and regulations. Head of Team meeting The Head of Team meeting is scheduled on 6 May 2017 from 15:00 17:00 hrs. The meeting will take place in de Plaza Hotel. Each delegation can send maximum 2 representatives to attend the meeting. 6
Recognized brands Participating contestants are required to wear WTF-recognized doboks. Call room The Call room is the final stop before the athlete and coach will enter the Field of Play. Please make sure that the athlete is in time in the Call room in order to prevent delays. After the contest, the athlete and coach shall leave the Field of Play. 7
Awarding ceremony All medallists are required to report to the Call room as soon as the announcer calls for the medallists. Please follow the instructions of the volunteers and bear in mind below mentioned instructions: 1. All athletes will be lined-up according to their medal position 2. Medal escorts will escort you to the podium. Please step on to the podium after the announcer has announced your name, country and medal colour. 3. Please face the flags when the national anthem starts. No hats shall be worn during the national anthem. 4. After the anthem, the photographers have the opportunity to take pictures. Please observe the instructions of the medal escorts. 8
Transportation Only the national teams that have booked their hotel rooms via GEM Travel can use the transportation provided by the Organizing Committee to and from the venue. Team that booked their hotel by themselves (not via GEM Travel) have to use their own transportation to the venue. Doping chaperones All athletes selected for anti-doping testing are informed by an anti-doping chaperone. This volunteer will accompany the athlete from the moment of the announcement of the anti-doping test till the testing has been completed. Leaving the chaperone may be considered as an offence sanctionable under the WADA Anti-doping Code. Please follow the instructions of the chaperone at all times. Athletes may be accompanied by one (1) person during the process. Anti-doping rules The WTF Anti-Doping Rules, and where necessary the Code of the World Anti-Doping Agency, shall apply throughout the competitions. Anti-doping tests will be carried out at random. The WTF and/or WADA may carry out random out-of-competition testing prior to the event. TUE (Therapeutic Use Exemption) Athletes who take any substance or medicine listed in the Prohibited List of the WTF Anti-Doping Rules and Anti-Doping Code of World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) for therapeutic purposes are requested to visit the website of WADA and make online filing of their TUE applications on ADAMS. 10
