President s Perspective First, congratulations to all those who received awards for the Ambassador Program. I cannot thank you enough for getting the Arabian breed out there and showing others how great of a breed they are. We offer the only free open-show program through a club in Region 10, so I encourage you to get others involved with the program. I am excited for our shows: the (two one-day) ODS shows in Verndale, MN and the WSCA/Arabians Unplugged in Litchfield, MN. In order for these to be successful, we need sponsorships and volunteers. If you are wanting to sponsor a class at either or both of the shows, please contact the show manger, Mary Smith (for the ODS) and Lynda Frenchick (for the WCSA). Both of these events have major needs for volunteers, so please contact Kaitlyn or Lynda Frenchick if interested. If you are available for the two ODS, click here for the form. We are in need of a ring master, gate people, and people to hand out ribbons. Congratulations to Cheri Morgan, she was the winner of our 100 Likes drawing. We have decided that for every 100 likes we receive to the Facebook page, we will do a drawing. Please, share the page and invite friends/family. Next, I am continuing to work on forming a team for the Region 10 Judging Contest. This is April 14 at Conway Arabians in Chatfield, MN. There is no need for experience and no real cost for participants. This is for youth aged 19 and under. Please contact Kaitlyn Frenchick for more information or if you are interested in participating. Finally, for those pursuing further education, either youth or adults, there are scholarships available through Region 10. The first, Mary Anne Grimmell Memorial Scholarship, are due May 1 st. The second, Mark Larscheidt, are due May 15 th. Both scholarship applications should be sent to Debbie Treadwell. More information can be found on the Facebook Page and the Region 10 webpage. Let s bring on warmer weather and the 2018 show season! Kaitlyn Frenchick 4
