Hofstra versus William & Mary: Hofstra trails the all-time series, 3-7, including a 6-5 overtime loss this season. The Tribe s Leah Zamesnik scored 3:52 into the extra session for the victory at Hofstra Field Hockey Stadium. The Pride beat the Tribe the last time the two schools met in the postseason. Hofstra captured a thrilling 1-0 victory in the CAA Championship Quarterfinals in 2004. Senior Sara Gonzalez scored the game's lone goal 2:15 into the first overtime as Hofstra shocked topseeded William & Mary, 1-0, in the semifinals of the CAA Championship. Gonzalez s goal eliminated the Tribe, which was ranked 13th in the country at the time. Tournament Time: Hofstra qualified for the CAA Championship Tournament for the fifth consecutive seasons, earning the fifth seed in the six-team field. Since joining the CAA before the 2002 season, Hofstra is 3-4 all time in the tournament. The Pride has qualified every season since 2004.
