We sold 38 sponsorships! As our 2011 event approaches, we are asking our past Gold Sponsors and our many faithful banquet participants to consider an investment in wildlife, wildlife conservation and our hunting legacy. We do not take your monetary commitment lightly; and our Board of Directors have once again tried to create a meaningful way to say Thank You For Supporting the Central Washington Chapter of Safari Club International through a sponsorship donation. For 2011, your $250.00 donation gives you the opportunity to win not once, not twice, but three times! 1. Every Gold Sponsor will receive a newly designed SCI Gold hat. (Each year we will be focusing on a specific game animal that will be embroidered on the hat.) 2. If you submit your Gold Sponsorship before November 22, 2011, your name will be placed in an early bird drawing for a pair of Leupold 8x30 binoculars. (Only one name will be drawn.) 3. Your name will also be submitted for the regular Gold Sponsorship drawing which is your choice of a Savage Axis rifle with scope (choice of caliber), Stoeger Condor combo shotgun, Leupold RX 4 1500 yard range finder, or Vortex Nomad spotting scope. (One name will be drawn for every five sponsorships sold. Example: 40 Gold Sponsorships sold, 8 names drawn) Both drawings will take place on December 3, 2011, at the conclusion of our auction. We know we can count on you for your continued support of SCI-CWC and our many programs that support our mission. We hope this incentive package has encouraged you to rise to the level of Gold! Sincerely, SCI-CWC, President A Non-Profit Organization dedicated to conserving wildlife and preserving hunting.
Hilary Daffi Safaris has donated the daily fees, which are ordinarily $1,250/day, for a ten day hunt for Cape buffalo in the minimally hunted Selous area of Tanzania. The hunt will be guided 2x1. Two buffalo and eleven other species of plains game are included on the ten day license. The license fee of $2,850 and trophy fees of $1,950 per buffalo are not included. Trophy fees for the other species which are reasonable, transportation to the hunting area (possibly air charter), dipping and packing, gun fees ($250/gun), and Visa fee (approx $150) are also not included. The hunt may be upgraded for leopard and/or lion. Past president, Gary Christensen, was on this hunt in September 2010 and took two fine buffalos, a lion, a leopard, hippo and 13 other animals. He said that he has never seen so many quality trophy animals in an open range hunting concession. All but two of the animals he brought home made the SCI record book. Gary has hunted previously with Hilary Daffi Safaris as has Chapter President, and Vice President, Tim Vining, and all recommend it as a quality operation.
Pine Mountain Outfitters Northern Saskatchewan 2 Day Elk Hunt A $5,000 credit to be split between two hunters for two trophy bull elk, size of your choice. The price of the elk range from $3,900 up to 330 SCI, $5,900 up to 390 SCI and $9,900 over 390 SCI. The method of hunting includes rifle, black powder and archery (no hand guns). Available dates on this 2 day hunt will be Sept. 2012 only. The success has been 100% on this 5,000 acre private game ranch the past ten years. The trip includes: lodging (log) cabin, meals, guiding, skinning, licenses, and export documents. Not included: meat processing, taxidermy or transportation. Additional species available at regular prices include whitetail deer, bison, fallow deer, caribou and boar. The gene pool of this elk herd is nothing short of incredible. The new #1 SCI Typical Estate Elk (net score) 485 was taken in 2007. This hunt can be designed to accommodate the hunter s personal preference in hunting challenge and/or physical capability and includes open meadows to thick timber. Past president Gary Christensen and his family have hunted with Pine Mountain 4 of the last 5 years. The entire first week of the 2012 season is reserved for hunters from this chapter and the winning bidders of this hunt. In the last three years there have been over 40 local Yakima Valley hunters that have hunted with Pine Mountain, many of whom were repeat customers. For more information, you can look up the outfitter s website which is www.pinemountainoutfitters.com or contact past president, Gary Christensen.
