Whether you re a fishing beginner or angling pro, there s a challenge for every player. Start by learning the basics of casting in our Fishing Academy or dive straight into one of the five unique lakes and land the big catch. When you are ready, compete against friends and opponents in our fishing tournaments. GAME MODES Game Modes Go Fishing Test yourself against the elements in this pure fishing experience. Relax and master your technique without time pressure or competition on one of the five lakes. Each venue has its own unique characteristics, tactics and equipment. Academy Learn everything you need to know to become an expert angler in the Fishing Academy. The in-game academy has five tutorials that will take you through the basics of casting and reeling, before teaching you how to use multiple rods and the advantages of each. By the time you have completed the academy, you should be ready for any challenge thrown at you! Live Tournament Live Tournaments are online competitions that are available for a limited time. Compete against other anglers to reach the top of the rankings. Live Tournaments are hosted by Dovetail Games Euro Fishing and each have their own set of rules. Enter competitions and beat players from all around the world! Multiplayer Fish online with friends and other anglers around the world. Please note that your game settings may change in multiplayer mode. Multiplayer allows you to compete and have a social experience with up to seven other friends all around the same lake. BASIC CASTING Basic Casting This casting technique is an easier, alternate method to the Total Cast Control system. 1. Basic cast control is enabled in the settings menu under Game Settings by changing the Casting Method. 2. In order to enter the casting state, click the left trigger while in game at the waters edge and a power bar will then appear. 3. Hold down the right trigger to start filling the power bar. 4. Float fishing is an interactive, fast paced style of fishing which is perfect for catching the smaller species of fish within Euro Fishing. Float fishing is ideal for targeting our non-carp species as well as smaller carp. For first time float fishing it is recommended trying Match Lake, L Arene, or The Observatory. It isn t suitable for Digger Lakes which is a carp only venue. FLOAT FISHING Float Fishing Once in the lake open the Tackle Box and make sure the Waggler Float is equipped. Bait can be changed to something like Bloodworms or Maggots but Bread is a good option too. Cast the float into the water, once the float is in the water a float symbol will appear. Watch the float here or look at the Waggler in the water and wait for the fish to take the line. Before a fish takes the bait the line must be nice and tight. If the line is slack, try reeling it in a little to tighten it up. Try not to move the float around too much while waiting for a bite or the fish will be spooked. Watch out for the float to move as this will indicate a bite. To strike, pull the rod back towards the character or in the opposite direction to the fish s movement, similar to how a cast is performed. Timing is key, strike too soon or too late and the fish will escape. A successful strike will mean the fish is on. PERFECT STRIKE GOOD STRIKE POOR STRIKE The hook quality will be stated after a successful strike. The hook quality is based on the timing and power of the strike - a poorly timed strike and the hook will not be perfectly set. Coupled with a lot of tension on the line, then there is a high probability the fish will escape. A perfect hook quality will mean there is less potential for the fish to escape on high tension, but it is still ideal to aim for lower tension.
