October 2, 2014 WJW-WJT Families, We have been blessed with some incredible fall weather to date and it's made our game day experience even more enjoyable! Another exciting weekend of action ahead as all of our players/cheerleaders will be in action with White in Brighton and Blue at home against Brockport. In addition, our cheerleaders have their first competition of the season, as they will be competing at the Empire Cheer Competition at RIT! Good luck to all! A note on the cheer front... As you know, we have multiple football teams at every level. AYFCL requires that each football team have a corresponding cheer team as well, and that any multi-squad organization that has more than one competition team must split their squads evenly. (This is a new rule this season.) As such, it is entirely possible that a Webster cheer squad may end up cheering in the same division during the same competition as another Webster cheer squad. This will be on a case by case basis and will be set by the hosting organization. We, unfortunately, have no say in the breakdown of divisions, schedules, etc. It is the expectation that all of the girls will be cheering for their counterparts regardless of whether they are "competing" or not. Again, this is youth sports and we are here to ensure that the kids go home with a smile on their face! Yearbook ads are now on sale on our website. Please look for details in the newsletter or login online and be sure to get your ad submitted early! Please work closely with your Team Manager and ensure that you are on time for any volunteer assignment. We depend on your assistance to make our game days go well. Thank you again and best of luck to all this weekend! Go Webster! Tom Widell President, WJW-WJT

This league is made up of many of the same participants of the Challenger Baseball program and they are truly a terrific bunch of athletes! Our annual Challenger Bowl game has become the super bowl like culmination to their flag season and we ve been told that these special athletes look forward to this game all year round. The Challenger Bowl is usually held around the end of October on the Thomas turf field (many thanks to the Webster Central School District for the donation of that field for this event) and we do it up with full WJW/WJT game day regalia (Announcer, Scoreboard, Music, Cheerleaders, Referees (thanks, WJW/WJT coaches), Concessions and Chains). Details are still being worked out (including the date) and more information will be coming soon but we will be reaching out in need of volunteers to help that day (concessions, booth, chains, cheerleaders, cheering fans, etc.). It s usually just a couple hours of time and it has become a great way for families (parents and their kids) to help give back to other members of our community. For many in our organization, this is their single favorite activity of all the many things we do each season!! Please consider signing up to help when we reach out in the next couple of weeks. With money raised from the concession operation at last year s game, WJW/WJT was able to purchase and deliver to them, prior to their games this season, 36 brand new sets of flags to outfit all their athletes. The organizers and participants of this group are always extremely appreciative of the bond our organization has formed with theirs.

She is in need of volunteers, adults and kids, to help make this event a success.
