EVERY 3 MONTHS 1. POWER DOWN SPA BY EITHER PULLING QUICK DISCONNECT NEAR SPA OR BY SHUTTING OFF MAIN BREAKER. 2. DRAIN SPA & CLEAN WITH CITRABRIGHT SPRAY CLEANER, USE NON- ABRASIVE SCRUBBER FOR HARD TO REMOVE STAINS. FOR FASTER DRAIN- ING, A SUBMERSIBLE PUMP CAN BE USED FOR FASTER DRAINING. 3. GLOSS TUB WITH SPA FAST GLOSS, FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS ON BOTTLE. THIS WILL PROTECT YOUR SPAS SHELL LUSTER AND PROTECT IT FROM HARM- FUL UV RAYS. 4. REFILL SPA THROUGH FILTER CONNECTION PORT(S), IF EQUIPPED, PORT WITH SCREEN MUST BE FILLED FIRST TO PRIME CIRCULATION PUMP. 5. FILL SPA TO 1/2 WAY OF THE SKIMMER. MOST SPAS HAVE A DESIGNATED WATER LINE ON SKIMMER. 6. INSTALL CLEAN, DRY FILTER(S) 7. INSTALL OR REPLACE SPA MINERAL PURIFIER(OPTIONAL). 8. WIPE COVER WITH SPA COVER CARE & CONDITIONER 9. POWER UP SPA AND BEGIN ADDING START-UP CHEMICALS. 1

NEW FILL & START-UP 1. ADD 16oz. SPA METAL GON, POURING DIRECTLY INTO SPA WITH FILTER(S) RUNNING. THIS WILL REMOVE HARMFUL MINERALS SUCH AS IRON AND/OR COPPER FROM YOUR WATER TO PREPARE IT FOR CHEMICAL INTRODUC- TION. 2. ADD 4oz. SPA ALKALINITY INCREASER, BROADCAST EVENLY INTO SPA. THIS WILL INCREASE YOUR ALKALINITY AND PH. 3. ADD 8oz. RESERVE, POURING DIRECTLY INTO SPA WITH FILTER(S) RUNNING. THIS WILL BUILD A BROMINE BASE IN PREPARATION FOR NORMAL BROMINE USAGE. 4. ADD 4oz. RENEW, BROADCASTING EVENLY INTO SPA, THIS CHEMICAL ACTI- VATES OR OXIDIZES THE BROMINE BASE. 5. RUN SPA FILTERS UNTIL THEY AUTOMATICALLY SHUT OF, USUALLY 20-30 MIN- UTES. 6. IF ADDING CHEMICALS RIGHT AFTER FILLING, SPA WILL BE READY TO USE ONCE IT REACHES DESIRED TEMPERATURE. IF ADDING CHEMICALS AFTER SPA HAS HEATED ALREADY, WAIT 6 HOURS UNTIL USING TO LET CHEMICALS CIRCULATE AS WELL AS TO LET LEVELS STABILIZE AS THEY WILL BE HIGH RIGHT AFTER ADDING CHEMICALS. * CUT THESE DOSAGES IN HALF FOR MODELS J-315, J-325, AND X-SPA S 2

EVERY 2 WEEKS 1. REMOVE WET, CONTAMINATED FILTERS FROM SPA AND REPLACE THEM WITH CLEAN, DRY FILTERS MAKING SURE SPA IS NOT RUNNING WHEN THIS IS DONE. IF SPA IS RUNNING, YOU COULD PULL DEBRIS INTO PUMPS WHICH COULD DAMAGE THEM. 2. SPRAY FILTERS WITH INSTANT CARTRIDGE CLEANER, BEING SURE TO COAT AS MUCH OF THE FILTER AS POSSIBILE. 3. LET FILTERS SIT FOR APPROXIMATELY 5-10 MINUTES. 4. RINSE FILTER(S) THOROUGHLY, BEING SURE TO GET IN BETWEEN ALL PLEATS TO REMOVE ALL DEBRIS. 5. LET FILTER(S) AIR DRY IN ABOVE FREEZING TEMPERATURE AREA WHERE FILTER (S) WILL NOT GET WET. 6. IN 2 WEEKS, THESE WILL BE YOUR REPLACEMENT FILTER(S). 7. PROPER CLEANING WILL ENSURE EFFICIENT FILTERING FOR YOUR SPA. 8. FOLLOW SPA FILTER CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS. FAILURE TO DO SO CAN RE- SULT FILTERS NEEDING TO BE REPLACED PREMATURELY. 9. IF EQUIPPED, YOUR SPA S FILTER BAG OR MICROBAN FILTER SHOULD BE RINSED OUT AT THIS TIME 3

EVERY WEEK 1. SHOCK SPA WITH 2 oz. SPA56. SIMPLY BROADCAST EVENLY INTO SPA AFTER IT IS FINISHED BEING USED FOR THE DAY. SPA WILL BE READY TO USE BY NEXT MORNING. THIS WILL KILL ALL CONTAMINANTS THAT BUILD UP DUE TO NOR- MAL USE. 2. IN ADDITION TO THE WEEKLY DOSE, YOU SHOULD USE 1oz. OF SPA 56 AFTER USE OF SPA WITH 4 OR MORE PEOPLE. AS WITH WEEKLY DOSE THIS SHOULD BE DONE AFTER SPA IS NO LONGER GOING TO BE USED THAT DAY. THIS IS RECOMMENDED DUE TO THE HIGH LEVEL OF WATER CONTAMINATION CAUSED BY THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE IN WATER AT ONE TIME. 4 PEOPLE IN AN AVERAGE SPA IS EQUIVALENT TO 80 PEOPLE IN A 21 ROUND OR 15 X24 OVAL SWIMMING POOL!! 3. DO NOT USE SPA56 ON CONSECUTIVE DAYS. FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOUR WEEKLY DOSE IS PERFORMED ON A SUNDAY, AND 4 OR MORE PEOPLE USE YOUR SPA ON MONDAY, SPA56 SHOULD NOT BE USED UNTIL THE NEXT TIME THERE ARE 4 OR MORE PEOPLE IN THE SPA OR THE WEEKLY DOSE IS RE- QUIRED. MAXIMUM USE OF SPA 56 WILL NEVER EXCEED 4 TIMES PER WEEK. * CUT THESE DOSAGES IN HALF FOR MODELS J-315, J-325, AND X-SPA S 4

DAILY OR REGULARLY 1. MAINTAIN PROPER BROMINE LEVEL OF NO HIGHER THAN 1PPM. THIS SHOULD BE DONE BY USING SLOW DISSOLVING SPA BROMINATING TABLETS IN A BROMINE FLOATER AND TESTING WITH TEST STRIP. 2. TO REGULATE BROMINE*, PUT 4 TABLETS IN FLOATER AND SET THE DIAL OR GRADUATION TO 1/2 OPEN 1/2 CLOSED AND LET FLOAT IN SPA FOR AP- PROXIMATELY 1 DAY TO GET AN ACCURATE READING. IF BROMINE LEVEL IS HIGHER THAN 1PPM THEN CLOSE FLOATER S GRADUATION MORE, IF IT IS LOWER THAN 1PPM, OPEN THE FLOATER S GRADUATION MORE. ONCE PROPER LEVEL IS OBTAINED ONLY ADDING OF MORE TABLETS WHEN ORIGI- NALS ARE DISSOLVED IS REQUIRED. NORMAL DISSOLVING RATE SHOULD BE ABOUT 4 TABS IN ABOUT 10-14 DAYS. 3. CHECK AND ADJUST ALKALINITY WITH SPA ALKALINITY INCREASER. TOTAL ALKALINITY SHOULD BE 80-180PPM 4. CHECK AND ADJUST PH LEVEL WITH SPA PH INCREASE. PH SHOULD BE 7.2-7.6. * CUT THESE DOSAGES IN HALF FOR MODELS J-315, J-325, AND X-SPA S 5
