Please briefly describe your philosophy as it relates to being a PGA Professional / am dedicated to the service of assisting others enjoy this game of a lifetime. / was fortunate to work for 3 PGA Professionals that were passionate about helping others and serious in there contributions to the PGA. The formulative years / spent as an Assistant Professional included mentoring by these great Professionals: Patrick Abbott - Head Golf Professional at The Memphis Country Club for 36 years. A great player, who won the 1942 U.S. Amateur, was also a tremendous representative of the club n the community. Tim Rush - PGA Head Professional who took over for Mr. Abbott at The Memphis CCupon his retirement. Tim taught me the skills of diplomacy; to be respectful and pleasant even in the most extreme situations. /'11always be indebted to him for this lesson. Bill "Goose" Munguia - the best promoter and innovative thinker / had ever met. Bill was the PGA National Merchandiser of the Year and won every Tennessee Section award for his years in the section. /Iearned from him the business side of the PGA and attended 2 National Conventions with him. My passion for the PGA of America and loyalty to my members has driven me to approach every day as an opportunity to exceed the standards of the day before. / strive to set the best example for my staff and be a good representative of the PGA. / have worked diligently to create a vision for my staff that focuses on teamwork and how the parts make the whole successful.

3. Please describe the qualities that separate you as a Professional? The qualities I possess that that many before me have PGA Members who taught peers what sets me apart I 4. separates me as a PGA Professional are learned characteristics set as precedent. I am dedicated to living my life in honor of the me the most important life ski/lsi possess. If you were to ask my think you would hear the following character traits: Tireless Work Ethic; a manager who leads by example and sets the pace for all Team player who sets a vision for the team and motivates all to reach for success Professional who puts the best interest of others ahead of personal gain Reputation in the community for professionalism and integrity Role model for the staff and students Positive outlook on my life - enthusiasm for the future Student of the industry - strives to learn and achieve greater knowledge of my role Willingness to take on tough and/or difficult assignments when no one else will Dedication to the traditions and history of the game and the PGA of America What is your favorite thing about being a PGA Professional? Without question, the opportunity to meet so many different and diverse people over the years is my most cherished memories of the PGA. I have had the opportunity to travel across the country and use golf as the means to make introductions with so many groups. It's certainly the internationallanguage, where celebrities and blue collar America alike have a common bond in the trials and tribulations of their golf game. I have witnessed juniors make strides in a sport that doesn't require the athletic prowess necessary in other activities as well. Watching the faces of children light up when a golf ball they hit explodes into the air makes the day worthwhile for me. My family and I have also experienced the humanitarian efforts of the PGA of America. I am proud to be a part of an organization dedicated to the growth and enjoyment of the game of golf by so many people around the world 5. Please briefly describe the expectations you have for your staff and your operation. We annually set in place a benchmark for the standards expected every day by our team. We meet regularly in an open and honest fashion that encourages all members of the staff to provide input for the success of our operation. We establish both financial objectives and team goals that encompass all aspects of our department. We encourage every member of out team to be involved in monitoring the progress of reaching our goals. Attached are the Department Goals as well as our "Rules of Play~ a statement that each member of our team pledges to follow.

PGA" THE PROFESSIONAL GOLFERS' ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA honors Jon E. DePriest, PGA PGA Professional as a member of THE QUARTER-CENTURY CLUB BY REASON OF HAVING BEEN A MEMBER OF THE ASSOCIATION AND A PROFESSIONAL GOLFER FOR TWENTY-FIVE YEARS OR MORE PGA President October 1, 2009 This Date

IIlJIIBAUGHER FINANCIAL EMPLOYEE BENEFITS CONSULTING FINANCIAL SERVICES * August 26, 20 I0 Dear Mr. Riley, I am writing this letter to recommend Mr. Jon DePriest as the Gateway Section PGA Professional of the year. I have known Jon DePriest since we hired him at Sunset Hills eleven years ago. During my membership at Sunset Hills we have had three Head Golf Professionals. All Three have done a good job. However, Jon DePriest stands above the others. I have worked with Jon in my role as Chairman of the Golf Committee, member of the Board of Directors and worked very closely with Jon during the two years I served as the President of Sunset Hills Country Club. Jon AL WAYS carries himself in a professional manner. I have dealt with many golf professionals during my career as we provide employee benefit services to more than 20 public and private courses in the Metropolitan area. I have met a number of quality head golf professionals and I believe Jon is at the top of the list. I believe Jon DePriest epitomizes what a Head Golf Professional should be. He provides service that goes way beyond and above! Probably the best compliment that I can give Jon is that if I would be given the responsibility and authority to hire ANY person for the Head Golf Professional/Director of Golf position, I would, without hesitation, hire Jon DePriest. If you have any questions or if I could provide any more information about Jon, please do not hesitate to contact me.
