Burnett (10 11, 3.30) SEASON NOTES The Cardinals completed their 122nd season of play in the National League with an 97 65 mark, winning the N.L. Central for the 9th time and the first time since 2009. They matched Boston for the best mark in the majors and it was their most wins since 2005 (100). It was the 24th 1st place finish for the Cardinals. They have finished 1st or 2nd in the N.L. Central each of the past 5 seasons. The Cardinals put together the 73rd winning season (+.500) in franchise history. The Cardinals have now compiled six consecutive winning seasons, doing so for the 3rd time in franchise history.
