For Immediate Release WINTER WARM-UP SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED; PLAYER DATES & TIMES SET St. Louis, January 4, 009 Cardinals Care announced today the complete weekend schedule for the Winter Warm-Up, including autograph times and dates for most current and former players scheduled to be at the event--a few Cardinals are still finalizing travel schedules. The 3 th Annual Winter Warm-Up will be held January 7-9, 009, at the Millennium Hotel in downtown St. Louis, followed by the annual Baseball Writers Dinner on Monday, January 9. Admission passes are still available via the internet at www.stlcardinals.com, by phone at 34-345-9000 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week, and Monday through Friday at the Busch Stadium administrative offices at 700 Clark Street from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fans my also buy Warm-Up admission passes at the Cardinals Team Stores at Union Station, The Galleria, St. Louis Mills, St. Clair Square, South County Mall and Mid Rivers Mall. Admission passes, valid for all three days of the Warm-Up, are $40 for fans age 6 and over, $0 for children age 5 to 5, while kids under 5 are admitted free of charge. Members of the military, police and fire departments with an active ID will receive one free adult pass which must be obtained by coming to the Cardinal offices. All proceeds from the Winter Warm-Up benefit Cardinals Care, the team s community foundation that cares for kids. Since its inception in 997, Cardinals Care has distributed more than $.3 million to build youth ballfields, develop the Redbird Rookies program, and fund area children s organizations. This has been made possible thanks in large part to fan and sponsor support of the Warm-Up. The three-day Warm-Up will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7 and Sunday, January 8 and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 9. Each day will feature autograph sessions, clinics on baseball techniques and strategy, and interactive games. Panel discussions with team owners, scouts, broadcasters and other baseball officials and personalities will also take place throughout the weekend. Another feature of the Winter Warm-Up is the memorabilia. There are silent and live auctions, the Cardinals Care Team Store and dozens of baseball exhibitors and dealers. Some of the auction items include Albert Pujols game used jersey, Albert Pujols 006 game used broken bat, Yadier Molina autographed game used jersey, Rick Ankiel autographed game used jersey and Ryan Ludwick autographed game used broken bat.
