DERBY DANCE passed only the tiring ones. SUMMER CHROME contended toward the inside, but came up empty leaving the turn and faded. SLICK RED OIL broke slow and was never a factor. FUHRIOUSLY KISSED was unhurried into stride, took closer order on the second turn, angled out entering the stretch, steadied when TAXABLE veered out a furlong from home, was bumped when that one ducked back in, continued on well despite trouble and was making up ground. TAXABLE was allowed to settle, came under a ride three furlongs out, shifted out entering the stretch, veered out taking the path of FUHRIOUSLY KISSED under left handed urging a furlong out, ducked back in under right handed urging and bumped that one soundly nearing the sixteenth marker, was straightened away but went evenly thereafter. CONSTRUE contended four wide to the second turn and retreated. FORECAST was forwardly placed along the inside for six furlongs and stopped.
