Will Wade Head Coach @wwadelsu 1st Year at LSU 5th Year as a Head Coach Frank William Will Wade was named the 22nd head men s basketball coach at LSU on March 20, 2017. He comes to LSU after a two-year stint as the head coach at Virginia Commonwealth University with four years of very successful experience as a head basketball coach. Wade was introduced to LSU fans in a most unique way for an introduction of a Tiger coach -- at a special media event held in the middle of the LSU Student Union. Wade told the media and a large contingent of LSU students: I am so excited about the opportunity to lead this program and LSU Basketball back to the top of the SEC and back to regular, consistent NCAA Tournament appearances. We have been to four Final Fours. We have been to 21 NCAA Tournaments. We have 10 SEC Championships, and we are going to add to all three of those categories over our tenure here. We are going to have players, staff members, everyone in our program is going to be committed to doing what it takes to make LSU the best basketball program that it can be. We are going to have unwavering commitment to put the team first, to put the state first, to put our school first to represent all of these folks in a firstclass fashion. We are going to be a hardworking team that represents this great university that represents this great state, Wade said. LSU and its fans are not looking for a rebuilding program, but taking the foundation and making it solid again a change of culture that gives the program a look of consistency yearafter-year. Wade, one of the youngest coaches in Division I at 34, but one of the most energetic showed his recruiting chops early with a class for the 2017-18 season that was ranked 16th in college basketball in the composite recruiting rankings. Wade s recruiting chops and promotional ideas has created a buzz in the pre-season that hasn t been seen too often and the Coach has done his part, speaking most of the summer on the Tiger Tour and to student groups making sure they feel a part of the program. Coach Wade has been seen on the night prior to football game visiting with folks in the RV lots and on the first day of school was out in a golf cart picking up students and giving them a lift to opening day classes. The native of Nashville, Tennessee, directed VCU to a 51-20 record and two NCAA Tournament appearances the last two seasons. The 2016 Rams advanced to the second round of the tournament, defeating seventh-seed Oregon State before losing to Oklahoma. Wade was the youngest head coach in the NCAA Tournament in 2016. In 2017, VCU lost to St. Mary s in the first round of the 2017 tourney. The Rams were 28-8 over his two years in the Atlantic 10 Conference, posting 14-4 records both years. The team was 25-11 in 2016 and earned a share of the Atlantic 10 Conference regular season crown. The 2017 team won 26 games and finished second in the league, one-game behind Dayton. Under his tutelage, guard Melvin Johnson earned First Team All-Atlantic 10 honors in 2015-16 while Je Quan Lewis represented VCU on the 2016-17 first team. Mo Alie-Cox was named to the A-10 Defensive Team in both 2016 and 2017. Wade, age 34, previously served at VCU as an assistant with the Rams under Shaka Smart from 2009-13. VCU was 113-37 during that time, reached three NCAA Tournament and won the 2012 Colonial Athletic Association Championship. He was part of the staff in 2011 when VCU advanced from the NCAA First Four all the way to the Final Four in Houston. During his tenure as a Ram assistant, Wade, who worked closely with VCU s post players, saw the Milwaukee Bucks select center Larry Sanders with the 15th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft (now with Cleveland). In addition, Wade played a major role in the development of current NBA players Troy Daniels (Memphis) and Briante Weber (Charlotte). Weber owns VCU records for 3-pointers in a single season and career steals. Wade is credited with being a key figure in four top non-power five recruiting classes in his four seasons at VCU. Prior to becoming the head coach at VCU, Wade served as the head coach at Chattanooga for the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons. His first Mocs squad went 18-15 in 2014, finishing 12-6 and second in regular season Southern Conference play. The 18 wins overall were the most by the program since 2008-09 and the 12 wins in league games was the highest total since 2010-11. The team made the school s first postseason appearance since 2009 in the CIT. Wade was honored with the Anton Foy Southern Conference Coach of the Year award for his efforts in 2014. Also that year, Z. Mason became the first Chattanooga student-athlete to win the conference s Defensive Player of the Year award. The Mocs won 22 games in 2015 and finished 15-3 in the league as Wade guided Chattanooga to its first 20-win season since 2004-05. He finished his two seasons there at 40-25 and 27-7 in league play. In the two seasons prior to his arrival, Chattanooga was 24-40 overall and 13-23 in SoCon play. In his four years as a head coach, he has a combined record at Chattanooga and VCU of 91-45 and THE WADE RECORD 55-15 in conference play with three post-season appearances. Wade s reputation, where ever he has coached, is a person who is a tireless worker and relentless recruiter. Wade was VCU Head Coach Shaka Smart s first hire upon being named the head VCU coach in 2009. That reputation was cemented prior to his arrival on the VCU campus. He served as an assistant to Tommy Amaker at Harvard in 2007-08 and 2008-09. Much like at VCU, he was Amaker s first hire. In their second year, the Crimson went 14-14, the first season of.500 or better in the program since 2001-02. Wade had a hand in the development of future NBA standout Jeremy Lin and assembled a top 25 recruiting class during his stay. Wade s coaching start came at Clemson where he served as Director of Basketball Operations (2006-07) and Graduate Assistant (2005-06) after four seasons as a student manager (2002-05). There he worked for coaches Larry Shyatt (2002-03) and Oliver Purnell (2004-07). In eight years on coaching staffs at Clemson, Harvard and VCU, the teams had a record of 177-97 with six postseason appearances (2005-13). Wade is married to the former Lauren Deason, and the couple has one daughter, Caroline Elizabeth. /----OVERALL---/ THE WADE FILE Birthdate: Nov. 26, 1982 Age: 35 Hometown: Nashville, Tennessee High School: Franklin Road Academy College: Clemson, 2005 Wife: Lauren Deason Child: Caroline Elizabeth COACHING EXPERIENCE 2005-06 - Clemson, Graduate Assistant 2006-07 - Clemson, Director of Operations 2007-09 - Harvard, Assistant Coach 2009-13 - VCU, Assistant Coach 2013-15 -UT-Chattanooga, Head Coach 2015-17 - VCU, Head Coach March 22, 2017 - LSU, Head Coach /---CONF.---/ YEAR SCHOOL W-L PCT. THE NUMBERS GAME Here are some of the important numbers with the LSU basketball program: 55-11 Record when holding opponent to 70 points or less since start of 2012-13 season. 69-26 Record since start of 2012-13 season when out rebounding opponent. 58 Wins since start of 1980-81 when LSU was down by 5 or more points at halftime. 45-5 Number of times since 2012-13 LSU has shot 50 percent or more in a game and won. 22 Number of head coaches in LSU basketball history including new coach Will Wade. 1976 -- Last time a freshman scored more on opening night than Tremont Waters. 17 -- LSU rank in nation in 2-point % (56.5%)... Last season 50.2% 29 -- Ranking nationally in overall FG percentage, 48.2% (45 percent last year) 5 -- No. of turnovers vs. UGA 1/16; equals fewest in a game at LSU (11 times). 78-0 -- Record since 1966-67 when LSU has a 20+ point lead at halftime. 71 -- Number of consecutive wins when up 15 or more at halftime, dating back to 1999. 1.22 -- Positive assist-to-turnover ratio; LSU was 0.878 last year. 2 -- SEC players (Tyler Ulis, Tremont Waters) with multiple 20 pt-10 ast gms in same season last 20 years. 2 -- Number of games this season Tremont Waters had game with 15+ pts, 5+ rebs, 5+ asts, 5+ stls 15 -- Number of threes vs. Ark. (2/3), 4th most in a game for LSU. Record is 17 (twice). LAST TIME OUT FLORIDA 73, LSU 64 -- GAINESVILLE -- FEB. 7, 2018 LSU fought back twice to grab the lead in the second half against the Gators, but was unable to keep Florida at bay, as the Gators grabbed a 73-64 decision at the Exactech Arena Wednesday. The Tigers led a majority of the first half before Florida took a double digit lead in the second half only to see the Tigers take it right back to the Gators and regain the lead. But turnovers, points off turnovers, points left at the free throw line and good ball movement to set up buckets by the Gators spelled the difference. LSU s only double figure scorer came off the bench in Brandon Sampson who hit four treys and 5-of-8 field goals to go with 3-of-5 at the free throw line to finish with 17 points in 29 minutes of play. Tremont Waters and Daryl Edwards each had nine points. Waters added six assists. The forward combo of Duop Reath and Aaron Epps each scored eight points. Up 33-31 at the half, Florida came out and got a run going, moving up by 12 points before LSU slowly began to move back into contention. Waters found Sampson on an alley oop for a slam that allowed LSU to come all the way back to take a 59-58 lead with 6:54 to go in the contest. Epps would foul on the other end and Stone s two free tosses made it 60-59 Florida. Both teams missed three pointers putting the ball in Waters hands again for a two-point jump shot that gave LSU its final lead at 61-60 with 5:45 left. 2017-18 LSU MEN S BASKETBALL

Florida took the lead back for good on a Hudson jumper with 5:26 to go and LSU turned the ball over twice in succession and Florida converted both times to go up 68-61. Waters would hit a three to make it 68-64 with 3:50 to go but that was LSU s last points. WATERS WITH A LITTLE SEC HISTORY Tremont Waters set a little SEC history with his 27 point, 11 assist game last Saturday against Arkansas according to the SEC Network. It was his second 20 pts-10 ast game this season and he joins Tyler Ulis, the former Kentucky star, as the only players in the last 20 seasons to have more than one 20 pts-10 ast game in a single season. More on his assists in single game and total elsewhere in the notes. DON T LET A RECORD FOOL YOU Some of these numbers will be discussed more, but there is a difference and an improvement in LSU Basketball at this point in the year compared to where LSU finished last year. The Tigers are having to learn 1) what to do with a lead; 2) what they must do to stop opponent s runs; and 3) what are the options that can get their back in the game. In five of the league losses, the Tigers were no more than nine points back at the end. Not counting LSU s two league wins a year ago, LSU had only five total games in which the final margin was nine or less and only one game of less than three. Here s the inside of LSU s five losses that could have turned around: Kentucky L, 74-71 LSU up 7, 19:39 to play; two shots to tie in final seven seconds. Alabama L, 66-74 LSU up 5, 7:27 1st half; Down 15 2nd half, cut it to four final minutes. Georgia L, 60-61 LSU up 12, 4:10 1st half; Up 10 at half; 3 pter to win misses final seconds. Vandy L, 71-77 Vandy led 16, 16:54 2nd half; LSU takes lead, 2:21 left but cannot keep lead. Florida L, 64-73 LSU up at half, 33-31; Fell behind 12 2nd half, took 2 leads in final 7 minutes. LSU WITH SIX TOP 50 NCAA RPI WINS Based on the NCAA RPI of Sunday, February 4, the Tigers enter the week with six wins against teams in the top 50 of the NCAA RPI (present ranking): 20. Texas A&M--2 (away and home) 36. Arkansas--2 (away and home) 38. Houston (home) 40. Michigan (neutral in Maui) Entering the week, according to Jon Rothstein, the following schools have at least six Top 50 RPI wins -- Villanova, Virginia, Kansas, Oklahoma, Florida and LSU. LSU AND THE QUADRANT WINS LSU is 4-4 against teams in Quadrant 1 of the NCAA rankings and 3-5 in Quadrant 2. The home win against Arkansas was considered a Quadrant 2 win with the four Quadrant 1 wins coming at Arkansas, both A&M game and Michigan in Maui. However, this time LSU was 15-of-30 outside the arc, compared to 4-of-18 by the Tigers in the first meeting. LSU is second in the league in field goal percentage for the season with 48.2 percent, behind Arkansas. LSU s percentage is over three percentage points over last year when LSU shot 45.1 percent from the field. LSU is continuing to try to improve its field goal percentage defense which is No. 14 in the league at 45.2 percent. LSU has now won nine straight games when shooting over 50 percent, dating back to last season. The Tigers are shooting 44.4 percent in conference games overall. LSU INSIDE THE ARC For much of the non-conference season, LSU was 60 percent or better shooting from inside the arc, but LSU is now at 56.5 percent, No. 17 in the country according to TeamRankings.com. LSU s present total is way up from last season when LSU shot 50.2% inside the arc. LSU (WAS) STRUGGLING AT THE ARC? The Tigers had found itself at the halfway point of league play with five guards shooting in the 20 percent range from the arc after at one time LSU was on pace to break the school record mark of 234 threes in a season, set during the 2012-13 campaign. In the last two games prior to coming home for Arkansas, LSU posted 4-of-18 at Auburn and 3-of-19 at Tennessee. Earlier this year, LSU made 13-of-26 trey attempts in the road win at Memphis (12/29). While the 13 treys marked the eighth time an LSU team had made 13 treys in a game and that was fourth best until the Arkansas game last Saturday when the Tigers made 15 threes: 17 vs. Vanderbilt 12/29/16 17 at Tennessee 3/1/03 16 vs. Auburn 2/26/03 15 vs. Arkansas 2/3/18 13 eight times (Last: at Memphis 12/29/17) After making nine at Florida, LSU has now made 184 treys and is averaging 8.0 treys a game. That is up from last year when the Tigers made 6.3 a contest... LSU, according to research, made 12 more threepointers than Arkansas last Saturday, setting a new school mark in differential, topping the +11 by LSU against Grambling in 2008 (13-2). DUOP REATH The senior from Australia, Duop Reath, has been playing well of late first as evidenced by his 31-point, 13-rebound effort at Vandy (Jan. 20), his second double-double against SEC competition this year. Against the Commodores, he made 13-of-20 field goals, including a trey to go with three blocks. The key was following it up with an aggressive effort against A&M and he did, making 9-of-14 field goals with a trey and eight rebounds. There was nothing shabby about his performance against Auburn on Saturday as he posted 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting with four free throws. Although guards had the spotlight as the Arkansas defense tried to slow him down, Reath is now averaging 13.7 points per game overall and a team leading 15.6 points in SEC games Reath, since the start of conference play, has raised his scoring average from 11.9 a game to 13.7. Reath had a string of seven double figure scoring games stopped against Arkansas (11-12-12-31-21-18- 21). The native of South Sudan, who grew up in Australia scored 30 previously in the UNCW game when he made 13-of-17 field goals with a trey; and, 24 points and 11 rebounds in the Kentucky game when he was 11-of- 17 from the field with two treys. Reath earned SEC Player of the Week honors for the second time while at LSU after his big game versus UNCW in December. Reath is 129-of-229 for the year from the field (56.3%) and that is second in the SEC in FG percentage His 52.9 shooting percentage in the conference games is third in the league. THE OPPONENT OLE MISS Ole Miss is 11-13 overall and 4-7 in the SEC after falling 75-69 to Missouri at The Pavilion on Tuesday night. The Rebels have lost three straight in the league versus Auburn, at Tennessee, versus Mizzou. Three players are averaging in double figures Deandre Burnett (14.4), Terence Davis (13.8) and Bruce Stevens (10.1). Andy Kennedy is in his 12th season as the head coach of the Rebels. LSU leads the series, 120-88, but the Rebels won last year in Oxford, 96-76, stopping a three-game LSU win streak. Lsu leads the series, 76-30, in games played in Baton Rouge. WATERS FLIRTS WITH UNIQUE TRIPLE DOUBLE; SECOND 4X5 Waters, who four times has posted a double double (three times points-assists, once points-rebounds) flirted with a unique triple double of points, assists and steals against Texas A&M (1/23). Waters had 15 points, 9 assists and 8 steals. Throw in five rebounds and for the second time this season Waters had the 4x5 for the 2017-18 LSU MEN S BASKETBALL

second time (last time versus Alcorn State in the opener). WATERS EARNS SECOND SEC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK HONOR For Tremont Waters, the play at the end of the first Texas A&M game certainly helped him earn his second SEC Freshman of the Week honor in a season that has already seen him three times get recognition on SportsCenter s Plays of the Day. The 5-11, 167-pounder averaged 19.5 points, eight rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals against 17th-ranked Kentucky and at No. 11 Texas A&M. Waters made two treys from 30-plus feet in the final 12 seconds to beat Texas A&M Saturday in College Station. Overall, Waters is averaging a team best 15.0 points a game, 3.6 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 2.2 steals. He is T2 in the league in assists and first in steals. Waters first earned FOW honors after his opening game in which he scored 27 points, the most by a freshman in an opening game since 1976. TREMONT WATERS FOUR DOUBLE FIGURE ASSIST GAMES THIS YEAR LSU freshman Tremont Waters has posted 10 assists on three occasions this season, vs. UT Martin (11/29), UNCW (12/10) and UNF (12/22). He upped his season high on Saturday to 11 in the win over Arkansas (2/3) Here is the list of those with double figure assists games for LSU since the start of the 2002-03 season: 11 Tremont Waters, vs. Arkansas, 2/3/18 11 Skylar Mays, vs. Houston, 11/29/2016 10 Tremont Waters, vs. UNF, 12/22/2017 10 Tremont Waters, vs. UNCW, 12/10/2017 10 Tremont Waters, vs. UT Martin, 11/29/2017 10 Ben Simmons, vs. NC State, 11/24/2015 10 Charles Carmouche, at Marquette, 12/22/2012 10 Garrett Temple, vs. Troy, 11/30/2008 10 Tack Minor, vs. UNO, 11/24/2004 10 Tack Minor, vs. Ohio State, 1/15/2005 While Tack Minor had 10 assists in the same 2004-05 season, Waters becomes the first player to go backto-back double figure assists since Randy Livingston as a redshirt freshman had three straight games of double figure assists in the 1994-95 season 12 vs. Georgia State, 12 vs. Md-Baltimore and 11 vs. Florida This was the second of two set of three consecutive games in double figure assists that Livingston had that season. Against Kentucky (1/3), Waters had another double double but it was points and rebounds with 18 points and 11 rebounds. FREE THROWS Earlier in the year, LSU was on the mark against Samford (11/16), making 19-of-20 for the game, including 16-of-16 in the first half. LSU s lone miss came in the first half with 2:38 to play after LSU made its first three of the night. It marked the fourth time since 1966-67 for LSU to shoot at least 95% when attempting at least 20 FT s in a game: 11/16/2017 W, vs. Samford 105-86; 19-of-20 FTs (95.0%) 2/21/2009 W, vs. Auburn 79-72; 21-of-22 FTs (95.5%) 2/2/2008 L, at Alabama 72-81; 21-of-22 FTs (95.5%) 2/4/1989 L, at Miss. State 79-96; 19-of-20 FTs (95.0%) LSU was heading for another game like this last Saturday against Arkansas after making all three first half attempts and the first 11 of the second half before a miss with 2:01 in the game. LSU did make 21-of-23 for 91.3 percent for the night. But against Florida Wednesday, it went the exact opposite way as LSU made only 7-of-15, including just 3-of-8 which included missed one-and-one opportunities in the second half. After nine games, LSU was at an incredible 78.4 percent at the line, but now LSU is still at a good 74 percent (316-427). That is still way ahead of the 69.6 percent that LSU shot at the line during the 2016-17 season. In the SEC games, LSU is a very good 137-of-187 for 73.3 percent. Presently, LSU s 74 percent at the line would rank fourth best in LSU stat history: 1988-89 77.0% 1985-86 75.0% 2007-08 74.1% 2017-18 74.0% 1963-64 73.7% 2004-05 73.0% ABOVE 20 ASSISTS For the third time this year, LSU was over 20 assists in the UNF game (12/22), this time recording 26 assists for the 43 buckets it made. LSU had 29 assists in the Samford win in November and 22 assists in the win over UT-Martin, also in November. LSU has had five games of 30 assists or more, the last coming in December 2002. LSU is averaging 14.4 assists per game. SCORING BREAKDOWNS CLASS PTS PCT. MAYS 12 SHY OF JOINING SCHOOL S 200 ASSIST CLUB Skylar Mays enters the game with 188 career assists, 12 shy of becoming the 33rd player in LSU history to have 200 career assists. Jalyn Patterson joined the group last season. Kenny Higgs is the all-time school leader with 645 Mays had four assists in the game at Florida. EPPS POSTS THIRD DOUBLE DOUBLE AT ARKANSAS The four-year senior is working hard to make his final year a good one as he is an example of how much returning players have improved under the tutelage of Coach Wade. Epps had his third double double of the season at Arkansas (1/10) with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Obviously, he likes playing the Razorbacks as he had 16 points and five rebounds in the win in the Maravich Center (6-9 FG, 2 treys). In December, it was back-to-back double doubles for the Ball, Louisiana native. After a 26 point, 16 rebounds game against Houston on Dec. 10, Epps came back with another double double of 16 points and 10 rebounds against SFA on Dec. 13. In the two games, Epps scored 42 points and had 26 rebounds. He played 59 minutes, made 13-of-24 field goals, 4-of-8 3 FGs and 12-of-13 free throws. His night of 26 points and 16 rebounds marked just the third time since the start of the 2010-11 season, according to sports-reference.com, that an LSU player has had 25 points or more and 15 or more rebounds in a single game. Epps is also the only one of the three to be on a winning side in their game. Aaron Epps (12-13-17) --- vs. Houston (W) Ben Simmons (1-9-16) at Florida (L) Jordan Mickey (1-31-15) at Miss. State (L) 26 points, 16 rebounds 28 points, 17 rebounds 25 points, 20 rebounds Epps has started the last 19 games for the Tigers. Against Kentucky the senior posted 13 points on 6-of- 11 shooting, including one trey. At A&M, he was 4-of-7 from the field with three of those three-pointers for 11 points with eight rebounds. Versus Alabama he had 14 points and had 12 in the A&M 2nd game. He is averaging 9.8 points per game and a team best 5.9 rebounds overall. Epps has made 82-of-146 field goals for 54.1 percent with 26 treys. In the SEC games, he is averaging 9.6 points and shooting 42.5 percent from the arc (17-40). JC TRANSFER DARYL EDWARDS STARTS Daryl Edwards scored all 14 of his points in the first half last Saturday in the win over Arkansas, but his 14 points, including three treys certainly helped key LSU to a 43-35 halftime advantage that they parlayed into the 94-86 win. Edwards hit 4-of-7 field goal attempts, including 3-of-6 treys and all three free throws. He started against Florida on Wednesday and had nine points with a couple of more treys. He has also been in double figures in six games, including 15 against UT Martin (11/29) and the three games prior to Christmas versus Stephen F. Austin (10), Sam Houston (11) and 10 vs. UNF. At A&M, Edwards had eight points, hitting 3-of-6 shots, including a trey. He was back in double figures off the bench against Texas A&M in Baton Rouge, hitting 3-of-4 field goals, including two treys, and 4-of-4 at the line for 12 points in 22 minutes. The junior college transfer is averaging 6.5 points a contest. He has made 28 treys and is 22-of-25 (88.0%) at the free throw line for the year. BRANDON SAMPSON For the first time since he sprained his ankle in Maui in the fourth game of the season, Brandon Sampson has recorded back-to-back double figure scoring games. Against Arkansas last Saturday, he hit two treys and 5-of-6 at the line for 13 points. At Florida on Wednesday, he equaled his career high of four treys and had 17 points tying his second highest game of the year. His junior season started with three consecutive double figure games until he severely sprained his left ankle in the first minute of the semifinals of the Maui Invitational. He missed the next six games and began coming off the bench with his best game at Memphis when he scored 12 points with three treys. He started the SEC play 0-of-9 from the arc, but was returned to the starting lineup for the game against Georgia (1/16). He scored a team-high 17 points, making 6-of-11 field goals, including 3-of-5 treys and both free throws. Now it becomes a case of consistency in game play to put back-to-back double figure games together. Sampson has played 17 games this season with six starts, averaging 8.2 points. He is 6-of-11 from the arc the last two games and 20-of-54 for the season (37%). RANDY ONWUASOR Grad student Randy Onwuasor got the nod for the first five games that Brandon Sampson was out before coming off the bench for several games and has been in and out of the starting lineup of late. Onwuasor was on his game in the first Arkansas win (1/10), hitting 4-of-6 field goals and all four free throw attempts. At Auburn, Onwuasor had his LSU high of 14 points, hitting 4-of-6 field goals, including both three-point attempts and all four free throws. He also had two assists, three steals and no turnovers. He had 13 versus Marquette in Maui and 13 against Sam Houston State. He had 10 at Tennessee giving him his first back-toback double figure games for the Tigers. At this point in the season, Onwuasor is averaging 4.7 points per game and 1.9 rebounds. He has seven treys and made 23-of-27 from the free throw line. BRANDON RACHAL OFF THE BENCH Brandon Rachal of Natchitoches-Central High in Natchitoches has been looking for playing time with 2017-18 LSU MEN S BASKETBALL

Rachal getting the bulk of the time of the freshmen outside of Waters. Rachal has played in 20 games with a 15.8 minute per game average. He is posting at 4.3 points per game and 2.8 rebounds a game. Rachal made both field goal attempts and had four points at Florida in his first game back after a onegame suspension and an injury. WAYDE SIMS GETS FIRST COLLEGE DOUBLE DOUBLE Wayde Sims, the sophomore son of former LSU men s basketball player Wayne Sims, recorded his first college double up December 19 in a 20-minute stunt off the bench against Sam Houston. Sims had 10 points and 10 rebounds to go with a career best three blocks. It was his fourth double figure scoring game this year and the second double figure rebound game at LSU. Sims, who was returning after a one-game suspension, had four points in the Arkansas win (2/3), but had two blocks and a team best six boards and came back with seven points and six rebounds against Florida. Sims is averaging 5.6 points and 3.2 rebounds. He has started eight games and played an average of 18 minutes.
