Arrowhead Archery N New Zealand IBO Nationals 2013 Host Club Kerikeri Archery Club 19 th and 20 th October 2013 This year s Nationals are being held at the Kerikeri Archery Club map attached on the weekend of the 19th and 20th October (weekend before Labour Weekend and we will welcome everyone who wishes to join in and celebrate with us showing their continued support of Arrowhead Archery. The Kerikeri Archery Club is very fortunate that Errol McIntyre has allowed them the use of some of his farm and the covenanted bush on his property and all that is asked in return is that we all respect the property, the farm animals and the archery course and surrounding areas. This is a very busy weekend with: Four one arrow rounds o Two on Saturday o Two on Sunday Saturday after round 2 sees the Manufacturers Grudge Match o This is teams of 3 of the same bow brand. The teams compete over 5 targets and there can be several teams of the same brand eg Team Pearson, Pearson Ladies, Bear Hunters, and so on each team has to give a name and the entries are to be in by the start of round 2 on Saturday in other words all registered during the lunch break latest. A large trophy is up for the winning team. Saturday night sees a BBQ type evening being sponsored by Arrowhead Archery as a thank you to all our customers and supporters over the last 30 years. Sunday sees the Champion of Champions shoot out o This is when the winners of each division from Professional all the way to the Cubs are in a shoot off 1 target -closest arrow to the centre of the 11 ring is the winner and takes out the Champion of Champions trophy. After the 4 rounds and while the Champion of Champions is taking place the Administration team are working on the prize giving. There are trophies and certificates for 1st, 2nd, 3rd. The Champion of Champions receives the trophy that is perpetual and an individual trophy to keep. The Entry form is attached please note there will be no entries allowed after the 4th October entry form plus payment together to register. We will send an acknowledgement for all entries either by mail, email or text. Kerikeri Archery Club will have food and soft drinks on sale during the event and on Saturday night will have soft drinks available for sale during the Arrowhead celebration evening. If you want to have alcohol you will need to bring your own and there will be NO alcohol consumed during the day only at the end of the day after the courses are closed. The Club will not be selling alcohol at this event. Archers please remember that if we need to have shoot outs for first place in your division or you are in the Champion of Champions shoot out and you have decided to have an alcoholic beverage you will be disqualified. This tournament is shot to IBO rules that apply for the World IBO Championship and the rules will be policed at all levels.
An independent Coarse Captain has been appointed and no-one will be allowed on the courses until the start of each round there are no exceptions to this rule if you are a competitor and are found on the course outside this time you will be disqualified. This is a National Event and it will be a fair playing ground for all archers. Accommodation: Kerikeri Court Motel is a proud supporter of the Kerikeri Archery Club and have offered a discount for those archers who would like to stay at a motel see the attached information sheet. Camping will be available on site please complete the attached form and return with your entry form so that the Committee of Kerikeri can make sure that everyone is accommodated.
