The Board of Officers were great and we are fortunate to have a majority of the officers returning for another year. Leading the officers will Governor Joe Matteucci coming back for another great year! Look for great things in the near future. We can fix our roof and move on to other very important projects that are in desperate need of repair or replacement. The new year will pick up where we left off. May 5th we will be have the EcoLimes playing for our Cinco De Mayo party. El Braino will be serving tacos for our eating pleasure. Our Boy Scout Troop will be having a Pancake Breakfast fundraiser on the 5th as well. It'll be from 8 am till 11 am. All you can eat for $6.00. May 20th will be the "GIANT" big Bloody Mary Sunday starting at noon till 2:00 pm again. If you missed Aprils big Bloody Sunday, you can't afford to miss this months. They were fantastic!!! May 26th will be Moose Races and Balloon Pop starting at 7:00 pm. May 28th we will be closed in remembrance of Memorial Day. Remember our Vets past and present. They have earned our thanks. June 2nd we will be continuing our Saturday night blowout bands with the "GRIMM BROTHERS". This will be another great Saturday you shouldn't miss! Next month we should have our incentives for signing up new and former members. The new board will have to come with another program for our sponsors. 2 NEWS FROM YOUR GOVERNOR Here we are starting another year. I would like to thank everyone who has stepped up and helped me make my year as your Governor a success. The board of officers were great to work with and I'm glad so many of them have come back for another year with me. We had a lot of fun and got some important things accomplished. I'm looking forward for another great year, with our Moosefest and a new format for our lodge picnic. Debbie Allen our new band chairperson has booked "Boys and Toys" for the picnic. She's doing a great job. It's going to be a great picnic! Our roof is on its way to being repaired and things are looking up. We have had a lot of participation at the events we have had this past winter so we must be doing something right as you are supporting us and what we do. If you would like to help out we are always looking for more help. Just contact me or any officer and we can get you pointed in the right direction. Let's have another fun and productive year! Wednesday May 9th there is a horseshoe meeting at 6:30 pm. Anyone interested in playing should attend. Jerry Simonsen and John Kaiser are co-chairman. Teresa Tabbert and Ernie Dahl combined to win the Monday night winter pool league. The Spring session has started. Darla and Ron Kramer co-chair the league. Stop in to catch the action of the pool league, Brewers, Cubs and White Sox on our TV's when available. We are registered in the Tavern Leagues sponsored, "Tavern of the Game" for Miller Park. Keep an eye out during the Brewer game broadcasts for lodge to be selected. International Horseshoes returns to our State at the Janesville and Monroe Lodges. The tournament is July 20-22 this summer. Contact the Janesville lodge for entry forms or go to the Moose International web-site for more information. State Golf will be at the Menominee Lodge July 15th. Contact them at the lodge. Notes: Our Social Quarters is well stocked with your favorite beers and our bartenders make the finest cocktails around. All our beer taps feature the best domestic and craft beers. They change with the seasons and current trends. Live music every Friday starting at 7:00 pm. A Couple times a month there is music on Saturday evenings and member participation games. Never a cover or up-charge. Not a member? We can take of that as well. Lots of TVs, free pool and wi-fi. NEWS FROM YOUR SENIOR REGENT Hi Fellow WOTM Members! I am excited and honored to be your New Senior Regent starting May 1st. It is hard to believe that I will be celebrating my 2nd year as a WOTM Member as I take over as the next Senior Regent. I would like to thank and congratulate Christine Schneider and her team for doing a great job this past year. I am looking forward to this next year as we work together to help our organization, Mooseheart and Moosehaven. We have a lot of great activities coming up this year. I hope to see many of you at our events throughout the year. Keep an eye out for events that you might enjoy attending. Plus you can always stop in the Lodge to see what is going on or come enjoy dinner from Victoria's Cafe on Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays. Mother's Day is coming up on May 13th!
