Introduction This Installation, Operation and Maintenance ( O&M ) manual includes descriptive literature, specifications and drawings relating to the principal mechanical and electrical equipment incorporated in the unit. It is the responsibility of the installer and owner to read and fully understand these instructions before installing, commissioning or operating the unit. In the unlikely event of problems occurring with your unit you may either refer to this manual, additional manuals provided with your particular unit or contact your equipment supplier/eps directly. The unit is designed to well proven processes with our engineering expertise to produce high quality system which are robust and reliable. The unit will provide long and trouble free operation providing the simple maintenance procedures laid out in this manual or additional manuals provided with your particular unit are regularly carried out. Your attention is drawn to the Health and Safety section at the beginning of this manual. It is IMPERATIVE that you read these instructions BEFORE working on or using this unit. The unit is designed for a pumped feed, from a mains or private water supply This unit is for drinking water only and is not suitable for pumping chemicals strong acids or alkalis, oil and grease, pesticides or photographic chemicals of any kind If you have any further questions, please contact EPS
Health & Safety ( I mportant - Please Read This Before Starting Any Work on the Unit. ) Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005. Section 16.1 ( a ) of this Act requires manufacturers to advise their customers on the safety and the handling precautions to be observed when installing, operating, maintaining and servicing their products. The user s attention is there drawn to the following: 1. The appropriate sections of this manual must be read before working on the equipment. 2. Suitably trained or qualified personnel must carry out installation and servicing. 3. Normal safety precautions must be taken and appropriate procedures observed to avoid accidents. Refer to EPS or your local supplier for technical advice or product information. HEALTH Only potable water is to be connected to your Multi-Boost system. SAFETY As with all site work the dangers of working with water and electricity pose severe threats to health if obvious and fundamental precautions are not taken, therefore, if you are in any doubt with any of the following, please do not hesitate to contact us. All site work should be undertaken by qualified personnel only.

Delivery Offloading The purchaser has overall responsibility for offloading the unit and any accessories. Do not lift the unit if it contains any water. Maintain control over the unit if lifting by use of guide ropes. Do not allow the unit to impact against other objects. If the unit is stored on site prior to installation, it must be upright on a flat and level ground where it cannot be punctured or otherwise damaged. Payment EPS require payment in full for the system prior to delivery, unless other credit terms have been agreed. Scope of Supply EPS will deliver complete Multi-Boost system as ordered.
Installation Guide INSTALLATION Step 1 Access & connect 1¼ overflow to waste drain by suitably qualified plumber. Note: As this overflow is gravity operated a minimum fall of 1:50 is recommended. Step 2 Remove inspection hatch / access & fit ( internally ) the black quick stop ball cock to the to the black inlet unit. Note: The quick stop ball cock is supplied loose for transport purposes and should only take a few seconds to fit. Step 3 Only then connect mains water supply externally to the inlet connection using provided ¾ BSP connection. Step 4 Access and connect dwelling pipework to 1 BSP outlet to supply pipe work. Note: This is to be carried out by suitably qualified plumber. Step 5 Turn on mains water and check all connections for leaks. Turn off water again once checked. Note: Ensure electrical power is off/isolated before continuing to next step. Step 6 Connect electrical supply cable ( pre-wired pump control cable ) to a suitability rated fore spur or plug-top with safety earthing connection ( 2 20v 13A single phase ). Note: Wiring of supply cable should only be carried out by a suitably qualified electrician. Installation Guide INTRODUCTION Though every care has been taken to ensure that your Multi-Boost Water System has arrived complete. Please visually check to ensure that no damage has occurred during transport. GENERAL Before Installation please turn off water at point of entry to property/dwelling and please do not connect electrical supply until advised later in this guide as this could result in an electrical shock. Wiring of supply cable ( pre-wired pump control cable ) should only be carried out by a suitably qualified electrician. Pre-wired pump control cable 1 Outlet to supply pipe work Inspection / Access Hatch Electronic supply cable ¾ BSP inlet connection 1 ¼ BSP overflow connection to waste Before installation begins choose an area with a flat solid concrete base where your Multi-Boost Water System is protected from both frost/ vandalism ( p referably indoors as the unit is not supplied with tamper proof equipment or insulation. We recommend that this area be near to all services as this reduces the need for extra plumbing and electrical requirements. Position the unit so that all connections and the inspection cover is easily accessible. A few minutes of planning will save you time and energy.
