Authority The 19th Asian Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championships will be organized by the Qatar Table Tennis Association under the authority of the Asian Table Tennis Union. 2. Qualifications and Entry Criteria 8.1 Qualifications 8.1.1 4 top teams from last year's championships 8.1.2 10 top winning teams from 5 regions, each region with two teams 8.1.3 1 team from host country (if not qualified under 8.1.1 and 8.1.2) 8.1.4 For the Cadet boys' and girls' team events, any ATTU member associations can send their teams. 8.2 Entry Criteria A qualified Association may nominate not more than 4 players each for Junior Boys, Girls team and Singles, 2 pairs for Junior Boys and Girls Doubles, 3 players each for the Cadet Boys and Girls Singles. 3 Cadet Players for individual events may be different from the cadet team players. An Association which has not qualified may enter a maximum of 2 players in singles event and one pair in the doubles event and with their own expenses. Qualified Association is allowed to send not more than 3 Cadet Boys and 3 Cadet Girls players to take part in each Event (Team or Individual). The Host Association can enter 6 male and 6 female Junior players, 6 male and 6 female Cadet Players. 9. Registrations Preliminary Entry 1. July 2013 Entry Deadline 31. July 2013 Travel Details 10. System of Play Junior Events The competition shall be conducted in two stages: 1st Stage All the teams, except the winner and runner up teams of previous AJTTC, shall be divided in two groups and play in the single round robin system. 2nd Stage The first three teams from both groups and the winner and runner up teams of previous ATTC shall play by progressive knockout system to determine one to eight positions except for third and fourth positions. Remaining two teams from each group shall also play by progressive knockout system to determine nine to fourteen positions. Order of play: A vs. X, B vs. Y, C vs. Z, A vs. Y, B vs. X. All matches shall be played in best of five (5) games. Individual events: All the single events shall be played in two stages. 1St Stage All the players will be divided into groups with 3 or 4 players in each group. They shall play one another in Round Robin League System to determine the order of positions in each group. 2nd Stage Players in the first placing from different groups shall play against each other according to knock out system. The matches in 1st stage will be played to the best of five (5) games. All the matches in 2nd stage shall be played to the best of seven (7) games. Doubles events will be played on knock out system on best of five (5) games. Cadet Events Team Event The competition will be played in two stages, 1st stage in Group League and 2nd stage in knock out system on Corbillion Cup Format. The Team to be composed of 2 or 3 players A vs. X, B vs. Y, Doubles, A vs. Y, B vs. X. Singles Event Singles will be played in two stages, 1st stage in Round Robin System in Group of 3 players by best of 5 games. 2nd stage will be played by knock out system by best of 5 games up to best 16. Quarter Finals, Semis Finals and Finals will be played by best of 7 games. 11. Draw
The Draw will be made under the supervision of ATTU Technical Committee. Draw for team events will take place on 29. August 2013 at 15.00 hrs and Individual Events on 30. August 2013. Exact draw time will be released by the organizers. 12. Jury and welcome banquet The Jury and team manager will meet on 29. August 2013 at 16.00 hrs and on subsequent occasions during the Championships if needed. An Association directly affected by a matter under consideration is entitled to be represented. Welcome banquet will be held at 18:00 hrs. 13. Equipment OFFICIAL TABLE: JOOLA OFFICIAL BALL: JOOLA FLOORING: GERFLOR 14. Hospitality The Organizing Committee will provide free hospitality from the Lunch on 29. August 2013 to the breakfast of 4. August 2013 which includes the board and lodging to the following: Not more than 4 players including playing and non playing captain competing in both the Junior Boys and Girls Team Event. Not more than 2 players, including playing and non playing captain competing only in the JUNIOR BOYS TEAM Event. Not more than 2 players, including playing and non playing captain competing only in the Junior Girls Team Events. Not more than 2 players competing in Junior Boys and Girls Individual Events. Not more than 1 player competing in Junior Boys or Girls Individual Events. Not more than 2 players competing in Cadet Boys and Girls Competition. Not more than 1 player competing in Cadet Boys or Girls Competition. One Official accompanying the teams. All members of ATTU Executive Board, ATTU Honorary Officials, full members of the Technical and Rules Committee, Coaching and Junior Committee and the invited ATTU Secretariat Staff. International Umpires and Referees from other Association invited in accordance with advice of ATTU. The expenses of the Chairman of the Technical & Rules Committee/Technical delegate including Air Passage to the championships (1 person) 15. Accompanying/extra personnel
Officials and players who are listed on Associations official entry forms but not entitled to free hospitality can be accommodated with the other on the same basis, including meals, transport and admission, at a charge of US$ 140 per person per day in a Twin/Doubles Room and US$ 170 per person per day in a Single Room. All players & officials will be accommodated in the four star hotel. 16. VISA Requirements Qatar entry visa will be ensured by QTTA. Passport copy (page with photo, name, number, date of expiry) has to be sent to QTTA by e-mail before 1. August 2013. Associations need entry Visa shall send passports as soon as possible before the entry deadline. Qatar visa will be sent to all associations by e-mail. 17. Awards In both Team and Individual Events, the winner, runner up and 2nd runner up will receive Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively. Four medals per team will be awarded to the winners of the Junior Team Events. Three medals per team will be awarded to the winners of the Cadet Team Events 18. Racket Control Racket control is mandatory to all players for the event 19. Regulations This event will conform to the ITTF junior event regulations including player eligibility. 20.
