Health and Safety Policy Statement Agfirst Bay of Plenty Limited is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for our employees, contractors and other persons visiting the workplace. Health and safety is everyone s business, and everyone is expected to share in our commitment to avoid all accidents and incidents, which may cause personal injury, property damage or loss of any kind. Management will support and resource the Health and Safety Officer to: Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation and standards. Systematically identify and control all hazards in our workplace. Where there are significant hazards we will take all practicable steps to eliminate isolate and or minimise these hazards to prevent any injury or damage. Inform all employees of these hazards and the hazard controls. Ensure all employees are properly trained and supervised. Inform all employees of emergency and evacuation procedures. Accurately record all incidents and accidents in our workplace, and take all practicable steps to prevent these events from happening. Carry out planned self-inspections associated on building and equipment associated with the monitoring of health and safety issues. Ensure all employees are given reasonable opportunities to participate effectively in ongoing processes for the improvement of health and safety in our workplace. Support the safe and early return to work of injured employees Continually seek to improve health and safety by reviewing all policies and procedures annually. Employees will: Act safely at all times to ensure their own welfare and that of their fellow employees and others in the workplace. Actively contribute to hazard identification and management. Hazard Identification and Control Procedures It is our intention to systematically identify and control all hazards in our workplace by following the hazard management process (document 2.3) Where there are significant hazards we will take all practicable steps to: Eliminate the hazard, Isolate the hazard, OR Minimise the hazard Where the hazards may only be minimised, we will ensure: Protective clothing and equipment is provided and used by all employees, at all times necessary (see document 2.6 for list of PPE) Good work practices are used and maintained Employees are properly trained and/or supervised Where appropriate, and with employee s consent, health monitoring in relation to exposure to significant hazards is undertaken and employees advised of results. Any new hazards identified, are incorporated into Hazard Register and all employees informed Any new/modified machinery/equipment/plant/tasks/chemicals/poisons are assessed before use, and safety controls/practices are established. Where necessary advice or support will be obtained from external specialists. All hazards and the hazard controls will be assessed at least annually All employees are aware of emergency and evacuation procedures Accident and Incident Recording, Reporting and Investigation Procedures All accidents and incidents must be notified to the Manager/ Supervisor or Health and Safety Officer immediately. If any accident or incident is not notified on the day it happens, then it may not be accepted as a work related injury. Manager/supervisor to notify Health and Safety Officer. Do not disturb the accident scene! If necessary Health and Safety Officer or Manager to seek approval by an OSH Inspector before releasing or disturbing scene. All incidents and non-serious harm accidents must be recorded on the blue Agfirst Accident / Incident Register (see document, 4.2) located in the lab First Aid drawer (or in field kit). All serious harm accidents to any person e.g. employee(s), contractors, contractor s employees and other person(s) are to be notified to OSH as soon as possible and the Accident Investigation form (see document 4.4) must be completed. Note: Principals and self-employed persons must also report serious harm accidents to OSH. A Notification of Circumstances of Accident or Serious Harm form (document 4.3), is to be forwarded by Manger/Health and Safety Officer, to the nearest OSH Office within seven (7) days of the event. Inform all employees of the outcome of the accident/incident investigation, i.e. new hazard identified and the hazard controls.

OOS / Injury Prevention Alternate where possible the position while carrying fruit Lean back and forward while walking under the pergola Stretch regularly Carry the weight the shortest distance Carry the weight evenly e.g. bag/bucket in each hand Suggested minimum contents for vehicle or lone worker's first aid kit A leaflet giving general guidance on first aid 6 individually-wrapped sterile adhesive dressings (assorted sizes), appropriate to the type of work 2 individually-wrapped triangular bandages (preferably sterile); 2 safety pins; 1 large, sterile, individually-wrapped, unmedicated wound dressings approximately 18 cm x 18 cm; Individually-wrapped moist cleansing wipes (not alcohol-based); 1 pair of disposable gloves 1 resuscitation mask. Packhouse/Grower Agreement AGFIRST BOP LTD 137 Tetley Road KATIKATI Dear PACKHOUSE/GROWER re: CONTRACT FOR SAMPLE COLLECTION for MATURITY CLEARANCE, MATURITY MONITORING, CROP ESTIMATION To comply with the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, AGFIRST will provide the following information: 1. Health and Safety Management Plan that includes: Safety policy; Hazards and the hazard controls; and Accident reporting procedures 2. AGFIRST will carry out all work with respect to the provisions of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992. In particular: AGFIRST will comply with all appropriate regulations, enactments, codes of practice (approved or voluntary) that may apply to our operation; AGFIRST will ensure all employees are fully trained in the work to be undertaken or are closely supervised by someone who is. AGFIRST will report to THE PACKHOUSE / GROWER any accident or incident which harms or may have harmed any person in the workplace, in addition to being recorded and notified as required under Section 25 of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992. All safety clothing/equipment required to minimise the risk of injury will be provided, accessible to and used by any person engaged in the workplace. 3. Before commencing work in respect to above contracts, AGFIRST will ensure all employees are conversant with: Emergency procedures (to be followed in the event of an emergency); Safety rules and procedures; Hazards which have been identified, and the hazard controls. 4. AGFIRST requires THE PACKHOUSE / GROWER to take all practicable steps to ensure the safety or AGFIRST employees. To achieve this: AGFIRST requires THE PACKHOUSE / GROWER to supply up to date orchard maps which clearly identify all hazards and potential hazards that our employees may be exposed to while undertaking work on the above contracts AGFIRST requires THE PACKHOUSE / GROWER to ensure appropriate signage is erected at the orchard to indicate when spraying is in progress and during the following unsafe entry period.
