We will see some of the most incredible architecture in the world, in the city that is rated the safest in the world. One of the highlights is a nine hole night round under the lights, but other adventures await, such as the Sundowner Desert Dune Safari and Dinner Boat Cruise on Dubai Creek. Abu Dhabi Dubai 10 UNITED ARAB EMIRATES OMAN Dibba OMAN Khor Fakkan Fujairah WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 15 Day 1 Departure day Today we trek to the airport with our clubs in tow, excited to be travelling to what many call a big kids Disneyland. Dubai in the '80s was no more than a few scattered buildings, and the homes along the creek. Now it is rated as the fourth city in the world to visit, and one of the safest. We catch our connecting flight and are on our way. THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 16 Day 2 Arrive in Dubai This evening we arrive in Dubai where we will be met by our hosts and driver, and taken to our hotel to check in and prepare for the days ahead. FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 17 B Day 3 Dubai city tour This morning after a later breakfast, we are picked up at the hotel, and taken on a tour of some of the highlights of the city. First we head out to Souk Madinath Jumeirah, a modern day version of the old souks we will see around the area. Here, we have an incredible view of the Burj Al Arab Hotel and enjoy a nice walk through the water park. Next we travel to Palm Jumeirah and take the monorail through the development to the Atlantis Hotel where we can take in the Aquarium, Waterworld and have lunch. After our lunch break, we go back to Dubai and visit the Burj Khalifa, the highest manmade structure in the world. We will ride up to the Observation deck and get an amazing view over the entire city. We finish our touring with a visit to the Dubai Mall and a chance to see the water show. Dinner tonight is on our own, but there are literally hundreds of restaurants right in the mall area. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 18 B Day 4 Golf The Address Montgomerie Course After breakfast we'll load up our clubs and head out for our first round of golf at the beautiful "The Address Montgomerie Dubai" course awarded Dubai s 2016 Best Golf Course. It provides the player with undulating links style fairways with generous landing areas that challenge and intrigue all levels of player. SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 19 BD Day 5 Emirates Golf Club, Majlis Course A special treat today as we play a course which consistently rates in the "Top One Hundred" courses of the world. The Majlis course was the first green grass course in the Middle East, and has hosted the Omega Dubai Desert since 1989. After our round on this beautiful tree lined course, relax in the beautiful club house and enjoy the view, and once everyone is finished for the day, we'll enjoy a lovely meal at one of the many restaurants. MONDAY, NOVEMBER 20 B Day 6 The Els Club Today we make the short trek out to play the new Ernie Els Signature club in Sports City. A beautiful wide open course that is maintained to an extremely high level. This club is very close to the Jumeirah Clubs which are hosting the DP World Tour Championship while we are there. If time permits, we will try to get in to watch some of the top European as well as North American pros compete. Dinner this evening is at our leisure. TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 21 B Day 7 Explore the Souks - Night Golf Today we tour Old Dubai and the Dubai Creek area. We start with a short ride to the entrance of the Gold Souk and get lost in all the incredible gold, loose precious stones and beautiful jewelry. Then, at the Spice Souk we are immersed in the scents and tastes from around the world. A short water taxi takes us across Dubai Creek into the textile area and the oldest part of Dubai. Here we see the Dubai Museum and the Grand
Mosque, areas that often claim 'famous people sightings'. We return to our hotel to freshen up and grab some lunch and our clubs, as we have the opportunity to get in a game of night golf at the beautiful Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club par 3 course. WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 22 BD Day 8 Dubai Creek - Dune Safari This morning after breakfast we return to Dubai Creek Golf course and play the tournament course. From the time we arrive to the splendour of the distinctive sail shaped club house, until we enjoy a cold one after our round, we will be thrilled with this magnificent course along the banks of Dubai Creek. This afternoon we are picked up in four wheel drive vehicles to be taken on a Sundowner Dune Safari! Our excursion starts with a demonstration of Falconry, one of the UAE national past times. After watching these beautiful birds go through their paces, we experience a thrilling ride through the dunes, stopping at sundown to take some incredible pictures of the dunes at sunset. Then we enjoy a wonderful dinner at the desert camp before being brought back to our hotel. THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 23 B Day 9 Abu Dhabi Tour Today we travel out of Dubai to visit the capital of the UAE, Abu Dhabi. First we stop for refreshments on Yas Island, just next to the F1 circuit. We continue to Abu Dhabi and take a stroll along the beautiful Corniche, or sea wall. At the Emirates Palace hotel we have a photo opportunity. Before leaving Abu Dhabi, we see the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, built to accommodate over 40,000 worshippers, and an absolutely stunning building. Later, we return to our hotel in Dubai. TOUR ACTIVITY LEVEL Active FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 24 BD Day 10 Emirates Faldo Course - Dinner cruise A trip back to the Emirates course allows us to enjoy a round on the Faldo course, which was redesigned by Sir Nick in 2005. Originally called the 'The Wadi', taken from the Arabic word for 'valley' it was renamed after the renovation, and combines a stunning visual design with the nuances and challenges of any championship course. Tonight we enjoy a Bateaux Dinner Cruise along Dubai Creek. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 25 BD Day 11 Free Day - Farewell Dinner Today is a free day to explore on our own. Perhaps, spend time at the beach, enjoy high tea at the Burj Al Arab, check out Ski Dubai at the Emirates Mall, or return to the Dubai mall and wander at your leisure. Tonight we enjoy our farewell dinner at a local restaurant. SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 26 BD Day 12 Return home Early this morning we are transferred to the airport with fond memories of all we have seen and done, and the great golf courses we have played. Able to walk 4 km on uneven surfaces such as cobblestone streets and be able to climb stairs or steep inclines unassisted. Tour Conditions & Information RESERVATIONS A deposit of $300 per person is required to make a reservation on this tour. This deposit is completely refundable until the final payment date. A confirmation of your reservation will be forwarded to you after the deposit is received. FINAL PAYMENT The final payment is due no later than August 31, 2017. A reminder will be sent to passengers in advance of this date. If you are joining the tour on or after August 31, 2017, full payment is required. CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS For payments made by credit card, we reserve the right to have credit card charges processed by the suppliers of travel services such as the airline, cruise line, etc. If this occurs, your payment will be split between Rostad Tours and the other suppliers and will appear as separate payments on your credit card statement. All credit card payments will be processed in Canadian dollars. SHARED & SINGLE ACCOMMODATION Passengers must indicate at the time of booking whether they want to share a room or if they prefer a single room. Your roommate, should also be indicated. If you are not able to find a roommate, you will be charged the full single supplement of $750.00. RESERVATION CHANGES If you want to change your reservation, such as change your departure city or plan an extended stay, you must submit your request to Rostad Tours in writing via mail or email (flights@rostad.com) at least 100 days prior to departure. Please note that your airfare may increase if you travel on different dates than the group or if you travel to a different city. Any subsequent changes, cancellations of extension arrangements or changes requested within 100 days of departure are subject to a service fee of $100 per person in addition to any fees charged by the various travel suppliers. INSURANCE We recommend that all passengers buy insurance to protect themselves against any possible cancellation charges or out-of-country medical expenses. An all-inclusive policy which has cancellation, hospital/medical and baggage coverage will be offered to Alberta residents prior to making their final payment. For passengers residing outside of Alberta, we will explain how you can obtain travel insurance direct from our insurance provider. As your deposit is fully refundable until final payment, you do not need to purchase insurance until August 31, 2017. PASSPORTS A passport is required for all tour participants. For this tour your passport must be valid for at least six months past your intended return date. If you do not already have a passport, or if your current passport will expire within this period, apply for your new passport now. We require a copy of your passport with final payment in order to issue your airline tickets. If you are not a Canadian citizen you are responsible to ensure you have all documentation required to enter the countries you are visiting and for your return to Canada. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS During walking tours you will likely experience uneven ground, cobblestone streets and various amounts of steps or stairs. For your enjoyment, and in fairness to your fellow passengers, you should be in good physical condition, with the ability to stand for reasonable periods of time and walk several kilometres easily. Should you feel a particular excursion may be too strenuous, you are welcome to forego the sightseeing tour and rest or explore on your own. At the time of printing, no inoculations are required for this tour. TOUR DOCUMENTS An extensive set of tour documents will be sent approximately 30 days prior to departure. Please notify our office in writing if you require any information in advance of this date. BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE Typically airlines allow you to check one suitcase free of charge but this is subject to change. In order to avoid excess baggage fees, the dimensions of your suitcase should not exceed 60 (i.e. 30 length + 20 height + 10 width) and the weight should not exceed 23 kgs. Your suitcase will be portered at all hotels but tour members are responsible for their flight bags/carry-on luggage at all times. ITINERARY VARIATIONS Rostad Tours reserves the right to change the itinerary of the tour due to airline schedule changes or any other circumstances beyond our control.
