Rachel & the TreeSchoolers Hand-y Craft: My ABC Insect Discovery Book Materials Needed: Report folder or 3- ring binder 8.5 x 11 blank paper Sheet protectors (optional) Colored pencils or crayons Scissors Glue Ink pads It s time to make your ABC Insect Discovery Book! Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Print the Discovery Book cover page and cards see following pages. Cut out an insect card and the corresponding ASL letter card. Glue both cards onto a piece of blank paper. Leave room for artwork and questions. Step 4 Step 5 Draw the insect, or use thumbprints and fingerprints to make it! Write "Wonder:" and what you wonder about that insect. Then write "Ask:" and write a question about the insect. Step 6 Step 7 Step 8 Step 9 Step 10 Find the answer! Go outside to observe, ask an expert or look it up online. Write "Learn:" on your page followed by what you learned. Repeat as you complete the alphabet. This is a project you can do over several weeks or months. You may want to add additional insects for a complete Insect Alphabet Discovery Book. Punch holes or place page in a sheet protector. Put all of your pages in alphabetical order in a report folder or 3- ring binder. Glue the cover page to the outside of the report folder or slip it in the front of your 3- ring binder.
