He is a two-time Division II Bulletin honorable mention All-American. The redshirt senior guard enters the season ranked fifth in career scoring with 1,532 points, along with ranking ninth in career assists (315). He has 401 career free throws made, needing two to break the career record of 402 free throws. He ranks sixth in free throws attempted (474) and has made 84.6 percent from the line, which ranks third, and is fourth in career 3-pointers made (167) and seventh in 3-pointers attempted (427). In 79 career games, has scored in double figures in 71, while leading the team in scoring 35 times and topping the 20-point mark 32 times. Maceo Baston II is the son of former Michigan standout Maceo Baston, a 1,000-point scorer for the Wolverines. Baston joined the Fighting Scots a year ago and averaged 6.7 ppg. and 3.5 rpg. However, he joined the starting lineup the last nine games and averaged 14.2 ppg. and 5.0 rpg. over that period. Among the freshman recruits is Alex Jay, a 6 3 guard from nearby General McLane High School. He is the son of Edinboro Associate Athletic Director Todd Jay, and his mother, Sarah, is one of the all-time leading scorers for the Edinboro women s basketball program. Both Todd and Sarah are members of the Edinboro Athletic Hall of Fame. Alex scored over 1,000 career points and was a two-time All-Region selection at General McLane. Edinboro will likely rely heavily on a pair of transfers, Anthony Coleman and Keyshawn Liggins. Coleman is a 6 3 junior who transferred from Cincinnati State CC.
