Australian Standard AS4422 deals with playground impact materials and is the defacto standard used for artificial climbing structures. Proper impact attenuation materials are critical for preventing brain injuries. AS4422 allows for two generic types of impact attenuation: 1. Loose fill material (eg sand, bark); and 2.
