Quality by tradition The correct panels for every horse G. Passier & Sohn. Since 1867. Passier stands for quality saddlery of an optimum standard. A name with a long tradition, which remains in the family. This provides a guarantee that certain things will not change. Precisely those things which distinguish a genuine Passier product. And have done, for almost 150 years. Anyone who appreciates top quality will always make the right choice with products by Passier. Because all saddles, bridles, girths, stirrup leathers etc. are still made by hand from the highest quality materials from selected suppliers. The PS Saddle Tree: The original was patented on July 23rd, 1959. Normal Panels (front view) The short gullet plate bar of the saddle tree on the interior side permits good freedom of the shoulders. Thus even a saddle with Normal Panels can be fitted to the horse in an optimum way. Freedom Panels The Freedom Panels are excellent for horses with broad or exceptionally sensitive withers. Contact with the withers is effectively avoided, the panels are positioned perfectly on the horse s back. The panels offer more room for the withers. Furthermore, from the beginning successful personalities from national and international equestrian sports have been pleased to assist Passier in the area of new developments and advancements of existing products. Whether jumping, dressage or eventing: Passier always meets the highest standards! Because for Passier an optimum fit and therefore respect for and care of the horse is the ultimate priority. So every saddle can be adjusted to fit a horse s back perfectly and can even be adjusted a number of times, if necessary. At the same time a genuine Passier saddle guarantees outstanding seating quality for the rider. This means a unique riding experience which is virtually impossible to match: That s the Passier feeling. Normal Panels (side view) The Normal Panels (seen here from the side) are perfect for the needs of horses and ponies of normal stature. They are padded as flat as possible and in most cases can be fitted to the horse in an optimum way. The Lifter Panels (side view) The Lifter Panels provide more space for the withers perfect for horses with high withers and also ensure a good contact area. Furthermore, the short, round form of the panels at the rear means they come off the horse s back quickly and therefore exert no pressure. Over 80 employees work at the company headquarters in Germany to achieve this feeling. Saddle Trees The adjustable width of the gullet plate means a Passier saddle can be adjusted perfectly to suit the shape of any horse s back. This can even be done a number of times. The saddle trees make it possible. The welt extends through to the saddle flaps. The panels are horizontal throughout. The panels are shorter and rounder at the rear. PS Saddle Tree The original PS Saddle Tree was patented in 1959 and has been continually developed ever since. More than 1,200 steps are necessary to produce it. Normal Panels (rear view) Since 2013 all Passier saddle panels have been produced with foam inserts, which ensure an extremely soft, smooth contact area with the horse s back and an optimum distribution of the rider s weight. Divided Freedom Panels (rear view) For horses with particularly sensitive backs Passier has developed panels with optimized wither clearance which are divided at the rear in order to permit even greater freedom for the spine. Types of leather & colors All Passier products are available in the colors and, a warm, dark shade of brown. Some products are additionally available in Teak, a lighter walnut brown. Types of leather used are Jupa leather, a soft, non-slip cow hide, and Calf leather which is currently the softest and most comfortable leather. Some saddles and snaffles also have shiny, Patent leather trimmings. Synthetic Saddle Tree PS Saddle Tree with frt-system The Passier Synthetic Saddle Tree made from elastomer material has been in use since 1973. The attractively priced alternative to the PS Saddle Tree meets the highest standards and also offers perfect conditions for an optimum seat. Since 2012 Passier has been producing the PS Saddle Tree with frt- System which permits the horse s shoulder to rotate completely freely. The panels are divided at the rear.

Dressage saddles Recommended by top riders! For many decades numerous professional dressage riders have already been putting their trust in dressage saddles by G. Passier & Sohn. BREASTPLATES Ingrid Klimke Breastplate This perfect combination of neck ring and breastplate was developed in cooperation with top rider Ingrid Klimke. It has a removable martingale attachment and is very softly lined and therefore exceptionally horse-friendly. Corvus Breastplate The breastplate with removable martingale attachment convinces by its elasticated side pieces. The elasticity significantly reduces the pressure on the horse s withers. Marcus Ehning Breastplate The particularly elaborately stitched breastplate with a removable martingale attachment was developed together with professional show jumper Marcus Ehning. The breastplate is very softly lined so the horse barely feels it, and therefore very horse-friendly. Teak Auriga Breastplate This horse-friendly breastplate prevents the saddle from slipping backwards in the take-off phase without exerting pressure on any specific points. Phoenix Breastplate with closed and running martingale attachment The embossed Phoenix Breastplate is equipped with two martingale attachments. The belly strap has a snap hook and a Conway buckle.
