The Korea Karatedo Federation(KKF) would like to invite you courteously to attend the International Junior, Cadet and Children Game, which is going to be held on 20 th August ~ 21 st August, 2012 in Busan, Korea. We are going to hold the prestigious Karate 1 World Cup-Busan 2012 from 18th Aug. 2012 to 19th Aug. 2012, WKF approved game, in place of the Korea Open International Karatedo Championships which has been held successfully since 2005, but there are only Senior categories in WKF KARATE 1 WORLD CUP. For this reason, we made plan to hold the International youth Game being able for Junior, Cadet and Under 13 years to participate as Korea Open.(see this schedule) In other words, we are going to hold additionally the International Karatedo Junior, Cadet and Children Game for Junior, Cadet and Children having participated in the Korea Open International Karatedo Championships just after Karate 1 World Cup-Busan. We hope for you having participated continually in the last Korea Open to cooperate for successful event and to participate in this event. The participants (general categories only) of the WKF Karate1 World Cup will be issued the ID Card in website of WKF in accordance with WKF RULE. However exactly, all participants to attend the general categories of each country there is no limit to the number. Categories Junior (19/8/1994 ~ 18/8/1996) Kata Individual (Male & Female) Kata Team (Male & Female / Combine with Cadet) Kumite Individual (Male -55kg, -61kg, -68kg, -76kg, +76kg) Kumite Individual (Female -48kg, -53kg, -59kg, +59kg) Kumite Team (Male & Female) Cadet (19/8/1996 ~ 18/8/1998) Kata Individual (Male & Female) Kata Team (Male & Female / Combine with Junior) Kumite Individual (Male -52kg, -57kg, -63kg, -70kg, +70kg) Kumite Individual (Female -47kg, -54kg, +54kg) Under Age 13 (After 19/8/1998) will be classified by age as below Kata, Kumite Individual 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13years old ( Categories may be combined by the Organizing Committee (OC)) Kata, Kumite Team 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13years old [In case of Team Kata, it is possible male, female or combined team(one girl & two boys or two girls & one boy) ] Each competitor can participate in more than 2 categories if he/she wants and as long as his/her age or weight fits in the categories. In other words, the number of participants is not limited. Every competitor attending this event should fill in the Entry Form to submit by registration deadline to KKF.(The fee of participation is free.) Each of 1st, 2nd, 3rd winners will be awarded medals & diplomas of honors. All participants will be awarded certificates & mementoes.
Event Information 7. Expense Air flight charge Should be covered by each participant. (Up to the Gimhae Airport) Accommodation and Transportation The cost for each participant is departed into double room and single room. In case of double room, the cost is 80.00 USD per person / per day, which includes 3 meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and transportation. In other hands, it is 110 USD per person / per day for a single room including 3 meals and transportation. For participants' convenience, we'll run a mini bus from the Gimhae International Airport to the hotel and from hotel to venue. There are no extra charges. The confirmation will be confirmed officially only after the reception of a deposit corresponding to 50% of the global amount. You will receive an order form in order to pay the deposit (to confirm your booking). The balance has to be paid maximum 31 th July. After this date, a late penalty of 10% of the total amount of the booking will be asked. In case of a late booking, after 20 th July and before 31 st, the reservation will be only confirmed after the payment of the global amount ordered. Cancellation You have the possibility to modify the number of participants or the duration of your stay until 19 th July without any penalties. - From the July 20 th to the July 31 st, 50% of the cancellation will be due. - From July 31 st until the beginning of the event, 100% of the cancellation will be due. Accommodation Fee Free In case of more over 16 participants (except int'l referees) per country, chief or 1 coach is free. Champion (Individual only) of AKF Junior & Cadet championships and Asian game and above bronze medalist of WKF world Junior & Cadet championships will be free. (Not team competitors) For individual those should submit documentary evidence to organizing committee on entry application and should have to be proved until 31st Jul. 2012. Event Information 10. Referees Each delegation must participate in the game with at least one or two referees. That s because it cannot be taken by only Korean referees. Accomodation will be free for 2 WKF or AKF international referees per country who sent entry. For individual those should submit documentary evidence to organizing committee on entry application and should have to be proved until 31 st Jul. 2012. 11. Equipment All contestants must prepare their own WKF-approved protective gear. (Due to hygiene problem, the OC is not in charge of providing these items to all athletes.) 12.
