WHAT WE DO. River City Christian attracts over 3,500 people to our campus each week. By serving Sacramento, El Dorado, and Placer Counties we truly believe in giving back to all areas of the River City! 100% of the proceeds from our golf tournament stay local and are used to meet the physical needs of families participating in our Christmas Mall outreach program. River City Christian is committed to helping at-risk and needy families in our city. Our Christmas Mall will allow approximately 1,000 seriously-in-need individuals to have an incredible holiday mall experience. CHRISTMAS MALL AT A GLANCE Families are bussed to our campus from designated areas in Sacramento County. Every family member receives a shopping voucher for use at our six different stores allowing them to select gift items. All items in the stores are new and have been donated by individuals and businesses. Volunteers wrap gifts while the guests have an opportunity to participate in other mall activities. A full service salon and spa is offered. Shampoos, haricuts, hairstyling, manicures and chair massages are available from trained volunteers. Children participate in a variety of activities including pictures with Santa. The whole family is treated to a delicious meal with live entertainment.

HOW YOU HELP. With your partnership, we are able to serve local elementary school students, former foster children, homeless women and children and legal refugee families. Children have the joy of meeting Santa Clause while families have an opportunity to take a holiday photo together. Guest feel pampered and cared for as they receive haircuts in our full service salon. Families are treated to delicious desserts, hors d oeuvres and hot beverages while enjoying live entertainment.
TOGETHER WE ABLE TO SERVE THE FOLLOWING PEOPLE AND COMMUNITIES: FOLSOM CORDOVA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FCUSD is made up of 32 schools serving thousands of students to whom poverty and socio-economic challenges are ever present. We have partnered with Cordova Villa Elementary and Rancho Cordova Elementary to provide holiday assistance through our Christmas Mall. LAVERNE ADOLFO PROGRAM Run by Volunteers of America, the Laverne Adolfo program in Rancho Cordova provides housing for former foster children who don t have a secure place to live. Education, employment and mental health services are also provided. Volunteers of America s Youth Services provide a safe, structured community that guides former foster youth toward independent, selfsufficient adulthood. WELLSPRING WOMEN S CENTER Wellspring Women s Center in the Oak Park community nurtures the innate goodness and personal self-esteem of women and their children. Since 1987, their drop-in center has provided respite and services based on hospitality with dignity and love. Wellspring serves nearly 200 women and children each weekday and offers four different programs: Nutritious Meal Program, Children s Corner Program, Safety Net Support Program, and Women s Wellness. WORLD RELIEF World Relief Sacramento hosts many newly-arrived legal refugees from conflict-riddled regions of our world helping the vulnerable to adapt to life in a completely different culture. Their refugee resettlement program helps them learn English, grasp American culture, find employment and access essential services. Their goal is for legal refugees to successfully adjust to the new culture and become self-sufficient members of our communities.
