Press Release 13 th November 2010 Miss Chinese New Zealand Pageant 2010 Kevin Cheng & Fala Chen appeared as performing guests in Auckland Co-organized by TVB and New Zealand s World TV Limited, the Miss Chinese New Zealand Pageant 2010 was held successfully on Nov 5 at Auckland s Telstra Clear Pacific Events Centre. A beautiful dream has come true for a total of 11 contestants who tried their very best to showcase their talents and gained the once-in-a-lifetime experience. This year, Anderson Junior and his new partner Li Yen Yi, the winner of Miss Chinese New Zealand Pageant 2008, were the host of the beauty contest. Two red-hot TVB stars Kevin Cheng and Fala Chen were invited to be judges as well as performing guests. Fala was full of experiences in the pageant arena and so acted as the role model for the contestants. At the beginning of the show, she exuded confidence and charm in her singing performance. When the show nearly came to an end, the excitement was increased to its peak as Kevin appeared on stage and danced with all the beauty pageants. During the four-hour competition, 11 contestants showed off their oriental beauty and perfect body shapes through evening gown, swimwear and Chinese costume sessions. They also utilized all their performing genes during the talent show session and showcased their wisdom and knowledge in the question and answer session. Only five contestants were qualified to enter the final round. Each finalist was assigned a role in the recent popular period drama No Regrets and acted with Anderson Junior. The long-awaited results finally kicked in: the Champion trophy belonged to Ms. Bianca Lam (No. 9), who also took down the Miss Photogenic Metropolitan Award; the First Runner-Up position and the Most Dynamic and Stylish Award went to Ms. Annabe Lin (No.6); the Second Runner-Up position went to Ms. Sammi Li (No. 3); the Miss Energetic Award, the Most Talented Investment Award and the Miss Friendship Award belonged to Ms. Nancy Yan (No. 11), Ms. Heng Yan (No. 5) and Ms. Barbie Li (No. 4) respectively. Besides attending the glamorous pageant, Kevin and Fala also met with their dedicated fans in New Zealand. During the 3-day trip, the two participated in radio interviews, magazine cover shooting, autograph sessions and the Spring Festival. Exciting games, singing performances and group photos wrapped up the events.
