ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED TO RANGE CAPACITY (11 firing points). PREFERANCE WILL BE SHOWN TO RESIDENT COMPETITORS. RELAYS MAY BE ADDED OR SWITCHED IF THE RANGE CAPACITY IS EXCEEDED. EVERY EFFORT WILL BE MADE TO ACCEPT ALL COMPETITORS BEFORE THE CLOSING DATE. LATE ENTRY CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER JANUARY 1, YOU WILL BE PLACED IN ANY AVAILABLE SLOTS REMAINING. TEAMS WILL REGISTER AT THE MATCH. DATES/TIMES: DECEMBER 20, 21, 27 AND 28; JANUARY 3 & 4. Relays start at 8:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM each day. First and last relays each day to be 3P Smallbore and second and third to be Air Rifle. All but 8:00 AM relays should be prepared to start up to 1 hour early. Competitors are encouraged to shoot one morning relay and one afternoon relay. LOCATION: Jerome Sportsmen s Association, 3220 Jerome Hill Rd., Hollsopple, PA 15935 ELIGIBILITY: Competition open to all competitors born in 1995 or later. MEMBERSHIP: All competitors must be individual members of USA Shooting and the PRPA and must show membership cards at check in or join at match. Please go to USA Shooting.org and pennarifleandpistol.org for membership signup. Additional forms will be available at check-in. RESIDENCE: Residency is defined as to where the competitor holds a current and valid driver s license. If the competitor does not have a driver s license, residency is then defined as to where the competitors parents/guardians reside. Each competitor may claim residence in only one state and must be declared on the entry form. Team residence is determined by the state in which the club s headquarters is located. All residents are eligible for 1 st thru 3 rd place USAS State Champion Medallions. Non-Residents may compete for automatic and at-large invitations to the National Championships and are encouraged to do so. STATE RESIDENT QUALIFIERS: USA Shooting will issue official invitations to the National Junior Olympic Shooting Championships (NJOSC) for high scoring male and female state resident provided they fire a minimum qualifying score. Resident collegiate and/or military competitors are eligible for the state resident qualifier invitations. Only scores from a registered State Junior Olympic match will count for invitation to the National Junior Olympic Shooting Championships.
ENTRY: Juniors may not compete in more than one state USAS JOSC. Juniors who fire in their own home state JOSC will not be allowed to shoot in another state. Juniors from states which are not holding a state JOSC, and those who cannot attend their own state JOSC, will be allowed to enter as a non-resident in another state. There are two entry divisions on the JOSC entry form. Non-resident juniors must declare that they are shooting for an automatic/at-large invitation while residents may choose to enter Automatic/At-Large category instead of the Resident Qualifier category if they are confident they can shoot above the automatic score and secure an invitation. This would allow another competitor receive the State Qualifier Invitation. A. RESIDENT QUALIFIER: Competitors shooting in their declared state of permanent residency. Competitors in this category are eligible to be the state resident qualifier to the National JOSC. B. AUTOMATIC/AT-LARGE: Competitors shooting in other than their declared state of residency are eligible for at-large/automatic invitations to the National JOSC. TEAMS: All teams entered in the team competition must represent USAS & PRPA affiliated clubs. Teams will consist of three (3) firing members in both smallbore and air rifle. CATEGORIES: The following categories will be used for the competition: (Based on the age the competitor will be in the year 2015.) Junior (J1); Competitors age 18-20; born from 1995, 1996, 1997 Intermediate Junior (J2); Competitors age 15-17; born from 1998, 1999, 2000 Sub-Junior (J3); Competitors age 14 & under; born in 2001 or later. SMALLBORE COURSE OF FIRE: Individual match: 60 shot 3 position aggregate consisting of the following: 20 shots kneeling (30 min), 20 shots prone (30 min), and 20 shots standing (50 min). Team scores using scores fired in individual match. Three (3) minute prep period will begin after target change. AIR RIFLE COURSE OF FIRE: Individual match: 40 shots standing for ladies; 60 shots for men (1 st 20 shots 25 min; 2 nd 20 shots 30 min; 3 rd 20 shots 30 min) Team scores using first fired 40 shots in individual match. RULES: 2014 USAS rules and regulations will govern. USA 7.5.5 The seat pad of the shooting pants will be enforced. Ensure that this piece of clothing is removed prior to competition. SIGHTS: Metallic sights only. TARGET/DISTANCE: Orion USA50 50 ft. smallbore; Orion AR 5/10 10 meter air rifle. Targets will be scored by the Orion Scoring System. Prior to the beginning of the match the Orion Scoring System will be calibrated and verified by Match Director, Statistical Officer and the Range Safety Officer. USA 6.3.2A USA Shooting authorizes the use of the Orion Scoring system at USA Shooting sanctioned rifle events and any additional applications (pistol) as they become available in the future. The use of the Orion Scoring System must be stated in the match program and the following requirements met: Scoring must be consistent throughout the entire competition; competitors must shoot on the same brand name and style of target. All competitions targets must be scored by the same method. If the Orion Scoring System is used, all competition targets must be scored in this manner.

CHALLENGE: USA 6.3.2B Orion Scoring System Protests The score of an individual shot on a 10 bull target may be protested. A competitor must designate the specific shot to be protested and pay the designated protest fee. The statistical officer or scoring team will evaluate the protested shot by examining the original scan to determine if the shot hole was correctly identified by the system or if there is an obvious error (see the Orion User Manual, sec 5.7) and the shot was scored incorrectly. If there is an obvious error, the statistical officer may make a manual correction of the score. If there is not an obvious error of the shot value, the statistical officer will re-score the protested shot by using the VIS system Protest Shot feature. If the original score was correct, a two point penalty will be deducted from the score of the protested shot. If the score protest is upheld, the score will be corrected and protest fee returned. Decisions regarding the protested shots that were re-scored by the VIS system are final and may not be appealed. A challenge fee of $1.00 per match will be charged. Challenge time ends 1 hour after score is posted. TIES: All ties for awards will be broken in accordance with USAS 2014 rules. SCORE SHEETS: Special score sheets will be used for all USAS State JOSCs. They must be filled out completely and signed by the competitor in order to be considered for invitation to the National JOSC. Legible handwriting is required!! PARTICIPATION AWARDS: A participation pin is provided by USAS. Junior, and Sub-Juniors according to the amount of entries. A team award will be presented for the first place team in each category. A competitor or team will receive only the highest award others will be passed down. NATIONAL JORC: A complete match program and other information will be sent to all competitors who earn invitations. The USAS National JOSC will be fired at the United States Olympic Shooting Center, Colorado Springs, Colorado on April 18 May 4, 2015. Subject to change. REGISTRATION FEES: Registration fee is $20.00 per individual per event (smallbore and air rifle are separate events.) $40.00 for both events. Team registration is $9.00 ($3.00 per team member).
