Playoffs will start the week of Monday November 6 th Teams must have a minimum number of 8 players for playoffs ready to play in each game (injured players do not count as players ready to play). Teams are not allowed to match opposing team s bench. Playoff games cannot end in a tie 4 minute overtime. See below for the overtime rules. SHIFT CHANGES are NOT time outs, please have your shifts ready. Officials may charge you a time out if the refs have given you multiple warnings. As a C.Y.O. Coach, I understand and agree to the following: The officials are volunteers and I will respect their decisions at games and direct any concerns I have to the C.Y.O. office. If the parents of my team become abusive or unruly towards the officials, I will assist by asking them to stop any inappropriate behaviour. I am responsible for bringing ice and first aid to all games for my team should any player need it. PHYSICAL VIOLENCE OR VERBALLY ABUSIVE BEHAVIOUR WILL NOT BE TOLERATED BEFORE, DURING OR AFTER ALL PROGRAMS. CONSEQUENCES: Individuals who engage in the above behaviours will be subject to immediate ejection from facility/property. Also, a further ban will be determined by agency staff. The C.Y.O. will not tolerate any abusive behaviour towards players, officials or other spectators. We are committed to maintaining a safe and positive atmosphere in our programs.

C.Y.O. Basketball Overtime Rules: 4 minute shift. Last 2 minutes stop time. Last two minutes teams can press, unless up by 10 or more points. Any player can play; players with five fouls are not allowed to play (only allowed five fouls a game). Substitutions are allowed. The player going into the game is asked to take a knee at the scorer s table; on a whistle the ref will motion the player into the game. All personal and team fouls carry over into the overtime play. An additional time-out is given. Teams will continue to shoot at the net from second half (net in front of their bench). The score sheet for jump ball will indicate who has possession of the ball to start the overtime. Equal Participation Note: More than 10 players no player plays more than four (4) shifts. 10 players everyone plays four (4) shifts. 9 players everyone plays 4 shifts, 4 players play five (5) shifts. 8 players everyone plays five (5) shifts. 7 players everyone plays five (5) shifts, 5 players play six (6) shifts. 6 players everyone plays six (6) shifts, 4 players play seven (7) shifts.
