Father Patrick Jackson House (FPJH) is a non-denominational residential program serving homeless, pregnant and parenting adolescents and their children. FPJH is committed to the health and well-being of teen parent families; using an empowerment approach to assist young parents to become self-sufficient. Services include: Transitional Living Residence; Education; Parent Education & Support; Case Management and Independent Living Skills More than 400 teens become pregnant in Washtenaw County each year Father Pat s houses on average 10 families annually The average mom at Father Pat s is Age 16 and has a 9-month old baby All Father Pat s residents are enrolled in high school or GED program and receive independent living skills training and parenting classes Most Father Pat s clients are either homeless or estranged from their parents The Washtenaw Child Advocacy Center is a child-focused program in which representatives from many disciplines, including law enforcement, the department of human services, the prosecutor s office, mental health, medical and victim advocacy work together to conduct forensic interviews and make team decisions about investigation, treatment, management and prosecution of child abuse cases. The program helps minimize the trauma to children and families by offering crisis intervention services, coordinated case management and emotional support as the case goes through the legal system. Nearly 70% of all reported sexual assault victims are children under the age of 18 Approximately 90% of sexually abused children know their abuser The median age for a sexual abuse victim in nine years old A Child Advocacy Center investigation on average costs $2,900 compared to $3,949 per case for a traditional sexual abuse inquiry a savings of 36% The WCAC provides services to over 250 children and their families annually
