HALL-OF-FAME QUALIFICATIONS AND APPLICATION FORM
MORRIS COUNTY USBC BOWLING ASSOCIATION BOWLING HALL-OF-FAME QUALIFICATIONS The Morris County (MC) USBC Bowling Association (BA) Hall-of-Fame is to perpetuate the names of those who have displayed outstanding Bowling Achievements in the game of American Ten Pins and/or who have contributed Meritorious or Special Service to the general welfare and progress of the game for the Morris County USBC Bowling Association. The Board of Directors of the MC USBC BA shall govern the Hall-of-Fame. It shall, through the Hall-of-Fame Committee, maintain the Hall-of-Fame in such a manner as to assure it as a living remembrance of those who have or are serving the great game of American Ten Pins. To be eligible for the MC USBC BA Hall-of-Fame, a candidate, at a minimum, must qualify under any of the following guidelines: A. Sanctioned for at least fifteen years in the MC USBC BA. B. Must have actively participated in the sport of bowling for at least fifteen years within the jurisdiction of the MC USBC BA. C. Should have some outstanding achievements in any phase of bowling such as: (1) League Performance (2) County Tournaments (3) State Tournaments (4) USBC Tournaments (5) Other sanctioned Tournaments, or (6) In any manner deemed Meritorious within the jurisdiction of the MC USBC BA. D. Distinguished service in the promotion of the game of bowling. Applications pertinent to the qualifications of the candidates must be submitted to the Association Manager by November 30th of each year for induction consideration by the Committee. Applications are available from any MC USBC BA Director or from our website: www.mcba-njbowling.com Any currently sanctioned USBC member, in good standing, within the MC USBC BA, may submit an application for consideration under the following categories: (1) Bowling Achievement (2) Meritorious Service (3) Posthumous Category (4) Special Service Category Application must be properly signed and dated by the USBC sanctioned sponsor! The MC USBC BA Officers and Directors shall vote to elect the Hall-of-Fame candidates selected by this Committee. This election shall take place no later than the January meeting of this Association. The Committee Chairman, or Association Manager, shall promptly notify, each inductee-elect of their election. A USBC Hall-of-Fame Certificate will be presented to each inductee at the Annual Hall-of-Fame Dinner. A suitable plaque from the MC USBC BA will be selected with each inductee-elect's name and year inducted inscribed. The inductee-elect's name shall also be inscribed on the overall MC USBC BA Hall-of-Fame Plaque displayed at the Annual MC USBC BA Championship Tournament. Posthumous Awards shall be presented to the nearest of kin of the deceased, and every effort shall be made to include their acceptance of the Award at the ceremony. The Special Service Category shall include individuals who may not be directly involved in bowling, but who can relate and contribute to bowling, such as proprietors, sports writers, etc. MCBA Policy Manual (Dated: February 1998)
