COLDWATER RECREATION BE ACTIVE The Coldwater Recreation Department takes pride in offering a wide variety of quality leisure and recreational activities year-round. Our activities are intended to teach basic skills, teamwork and sportsmanship, while providing opportunities for physical fitness and socialization. YOUTH SPORTS YOUTH TENNIS Tennis for boys and girls in grades 1-8. *Please bring a racket with you* When: January 15 - February 19 (6 weeks) Day: Mondays Time: 5:00pm - 6:00pm Fee: City Resident: $25 Non-City Resident: $30 Register By: January 12 RECREATION BASKETBALL LEAGUE Basketball for boys and girls in grades 2-6. Program will consist of drills to practice skills followed by games against each other each week. When: January 10 - February 14 (6 weeks) Day: Wednesdays Time: 5:00pm - 6:30pm Fee: City Resident: $25 Non-City Resident: $30 Register By: January 9 YOUTH INDOOR SOCCER Soccer for boys and girls in grades 3-5. Program will consist of drills to practice skills followed by games against each other each week. YOUTH BASEBALL/SOFTBALL LEAGUE We invite youth from Coldwater and any surrounding area to sign up now for our baseball/softball league this spring. Sign up online or in person at the Recreation Center. All games will start the week of May 21 and take place Monday-Thursday. Age: 4-12 Fee: OPEN GYM (High School/Middle School) Basketball/Volleyball/Tennis open gym for boys and girls in Middle School or High School. This does not include batting cages. Must be at least 12 years of age otherwise must be accompanied by an adult. YOUTH DODGEBALL Dodgeball for boys and girls in grades 4-6. When: February 20 - March 27 (6 weeks) Day: Tuesdays Time: 5:00pm - 6:00pm Fee: City Resident: $25 Non-City Resident: $30 Register By: February 19 INDOOR FLOOR HOCKEY Program for boys and girls in grades 3-6. We will form teams. Must use our equipment. When: February 21 - March 28 (6 weeks) Day: Wednesdays Time: 5:00pm - 6:00pm Fee: City Resident: $25 Non-City Resident: $30 Register By: February 20 BATTING CAGE RENTAL Come rent a cage for baseball or softball practice. Pitching machine, balls, and screens provided. YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN BATS AND HELMETS. You also must bring a person to pitch to you. COMPETITIVE BASKETBALL LEAGUE Bring your team for our area wide competitive league. There will be double headers each week. Divisions will be as follows: Grades 3/4, 5/6, & 7/8. Separate leagues for boys and girls. When: January 13 - February 10 (10 games) Grade: 3-8 Day: Saturdays Games Start: 9:00am Team Fee: $450 Register By: December 13 Fee: City Resident: $15/30 minutes Non-City Resident: $18/30 minutes NOTHING KILLS A PROGRAM QUICKER.. Than waiting until the last minute to register. At some point a decision must be made on whether to cancel a program due to lack of enrollment. Registration at the last minute may mean that the program has already been cancelled.

ADULT SPORTS ADULT VOLLEYBALL 6X6 6x6 leagues for adults. Play will consist of 3 games to 21. A ten game season is followed by a tournament. When: Starts January 7 (10 matches + tourney) Day: Sunday - Coed Monday - Men Monday & Tuesday - Women Time: 5:00pm - 10:00pm Team Fee: $265 Register By: December 8 ADULT DROP-IN SPORTS Drop in sports are great because you can come when you can. Pay $4/city resident or $5/non city for 2 hours of court play. For dates and times call ahead. (517)278-8566. INDOOR PICKLEBALL Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages. It combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong. Come indoors this winter and play pickleball in a drop-in setting where you can practice your skills and have some fun! For dates & times call. 517.278.8566 When: Starts January 4 Day: Monday/Wednesday/Friday Time: 9:00am - 11:00am Fee: $4/city resident $5/non city resident OR purchase punch card for 25 visits: $75/city resident $100/non city resident MEN S BASKETBALL 5X5 Leagues are formed by the night your team wants to play, which will result in diverse skill levels. A ten game season is followed by a tournament. When: Starts January 3 (10 games + tourney) Day: Monday - Thursday Time: 6:30pm - 10:00pm Team Fee: $425 Register By: December 8 ADULT DROP-IN PING PONG Come play ping pong (table tennis) in a drop-in setting where you can practice your skills and have some fun! When: Starts January 4 Day: Wednesdays Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm Fee: $4/city resident $5/non city resident MEN S 45 & OLDER BASKETBALL League for men ages 45 and older. Players will pay individually and be placed on a team. Games will be played on Wednesdays starting in January. For more information call the Coldwater Recreation Department.

SPECIAL EVENTS MOM/SON NIGHT Enjoy an evening out filled with new and exciting activities. There will be games, inflatables, pictures, snacks, and more. This event is for boys in kindergarten through 6th grade and their moms, grandmas, and aunts. When: Saturday, March 10 Time: 6:00pm - 9:00pm Fee: Couple $35; Additional person $17 Register By: March 2 to avoid $10 late fee; March 9 @noon final sign up INFLATABLE DAY Hey Kids, are you looking for something fun and exciting to do this winter? Join us at the Dr. Browne Rec. Center for a day of climbing and bouncing on some inflatables. All kids welcome! Those under 10 must be supervised by an adult. When: Friday, December 29 Time: 10am -12pm or 12pm -2pm Fee: $5/child Must be registered by Dec. 27 EASTER EGG DIVE Bring your kids (ages 4-10) and hop into the pool and find the submerged eggs in the shallow and deep ends depending on your child s ability. Parents must assist children that cannot swim. Children will find the eggs and then turn the eggs in for a treat. When: Friday, March 23 Time: 6:30pm Location: Dr. Browne Aquatic Center Fee: FREE Register By: March 19 DADDY/DAUGHTER DANCE This popular social event is for girls kindergarten through 6th grade that are attending Coldwater Schools and their dads, grandpas, or uncles. The event allows you to spend an evening of fun with your special girl. There will be dancing, pictures, and snacks. This event fills fast so don t wait, sign up now. When: Saturday, February 10 Time: 6:00pm - 9:00pm Location: Dearth Center Fee: Couple $35; Additional person $17 Register By: January 19 to avoid $10 late fee; February 2 final sign up TOT TIME Open time for parents and daycare providers to bring pre-school age children to our gym to play. Plenty of balls and baskets to play with. Adults must accompany and supervise their children. When: Month of January Day: Monday & Wednesday Time: 11am - 12:30pm Fee: $1/child SKATE POND Come enjoy the winter months and have fun ice skating our Skate Pond at Waterworks Park. The snow is cleared away for you to have a great skate. We also have ice skates and hockey sticks that you can borrow. FREE for the community.

HEALTH & WELLNESS YOGA Class will involve easy stretching to improve strength, flexibility, and balance. The sequence of yoga poses will allow you to release stress and restore the mind and body. When: Session I: January 8 - February 12 Session II: February 19 - March 26 Day: Mondays Time: 4:00pm Fee: $25/6 week session Register by: January 6 & February 17 CIRCUIT TRAINING Come do a class with a variety of cardio and strength. This class will be a class where you work at your own level of intensity. Circuit type set up that will use cardio stations, the indoor track, and the fitness room. When: January 9 - February 13 Day: Tuesdays Time: 5:30 pm Fee: $25/6 week session Register by: January 8 BUTT N GUT CLASS Come during lunch to a 30 minute class that will strengthen your abs and glutes. This class is a great workout and won t leave you too sweaty to return to work. Moves will include some yoga, pilates, and more. SENIOR WALK CLUB Come take a walk at the Dr. Robert W. Browne Recreation Center this winter and enjoy the indoor track. UPCOMING SPRING 18 MEN S & WOMEN S SLOWPITCH SOFTBALL Enjoy the summer by playing softball. Men s Leagues are formed by the night your team wants to play (Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday). Women s League and Men s Doubleheader League will play on Thursday. SUMMER COED SLOWPITCH SOFTBALL Form a coed softball team and enjoy playing a 6 week season together. MEN S FASTPITCH SOFTBALL League will play doubleheaders one night a week. SPRING 4 ON 4 VOLLEYBALL Form an adult 4 person vollyeball team and enjoy playing a 6 week season together. Women s and coed leagues will be available. SPLASH PAD Cool off in the fun splash pad located at Heritage Park. Opens Memorial Day and is available for FREE until Labor Day.
