Beverages: Alcoholic beverages & containers are not allowed at the park at any time, this includes the fields & parking lots. Glass containers or bottles of any kind are prohibited. Coolers, Funnels, Kegs and Party Balls or anything fun is also not allowed on the fields. You are required to keep all sports drink & beverages in bubba kegs or thermos bottles. Clear or see through cups are not allowed, please purchase solid colored solo cups. Anyone in violation of the beverage policy will be asked to leave the premises immediately and may be suspended for the remainder of the season. Your team may suffer a game forfeit. Other Activities: Due to general safety and liability reasons; no other sports may be played at a WAKA permitted field just prior to or during the games. That means no tossing a football around or kicking a soccer ball etc. CONTENTS Week five Schedule 3 week FOUR RECAP 4 Power RankINGS 6 Veteran of the Week 8 Rookie of the Week 9 AFTER PARTY INFO 10 Fireworks: Absolutely no fireworks of any kind are allowed on or near our fields. That includes Sparklers, Flame throwers, Molotov Cocktails and anything else you can think of! Trash: All trash must be picked up before leaving the field. Trash cans are available throughout. In the event that there are no trash cans, you must provide a bag for your trash. Facilities: Porta Potties are located at the front of the field, please use those to go to the restroom. Do not do your business in bushes or in the open. You may get a ticket and we may lose the permit to use the park Parking: Players and visitors must park in marked or approved spots. Just because we have a permit to be there does not allow us to break the law. POWER RANKINGS Sting Conference WEEK five october 21 Ballsagna Take down the Hustlers fairly easy and stay undefeated. Ballsagna remains the sole undefeated team in Stringray with 3 games left. Will they finish out on top? The Foot Clan Kicked Heads last Friday as they rolled over the Kickheads and continue their quest to the top. kick tease Come out on top of a back and forth cat fight. Good thing they crawled their way out and secured the win. Number 3 for now, but can they move up the rankings with a win against the Clan this week? homeplate hustlers Tough loss last week, but that won t stop this team from hustlin hard the rest of the season. The Hustlers are ready to get the balls off of them and bust some rubbers this week, so watch out blue team. rubber busters Rubber Busters came up big this week against Kick James. They shut them out and moved up in the rankings. Will this confidence boost be enough to take down the Hustlers? Hopefully both teams will be sober enough to play when 9:15 comes around. kickheads Had their flame put out by the Foot Clan last week. Will this slow them down or will they be able to get the flame fired back up and finish the season strong? bunt cakes Close game against Kick Tease this week, but the Cakes weren t able to pull it off. Do you think they were feeling pressure playing against some old teammates? Either way, don t let them fool you; the Bunt Cakes are a good team they just need all of their team to show up once in awhile. That Pitch is a Bunt A strategic kicking lineup should have gotten this team a win. What it really did was make the Dinos mad and determined to beat them. They should bounce back as long as they keep the jello shots coming and bubba kegs filled. Ray Conference rubber balls & Liquor Take the lead in the Ray conference and do so in dramatic fashion with a comeback win over SBTB. Can they keep the streak alive this week and win the battle of between the balls? (RB& L vs RB&V). saved by the ball Received their first loss of the season but fought hard. Had the lead early but let it slip away. Hopefully this will be a lessoned learned to SBTB and they will know to keep piling on the runs once they are up so teams cant comeback. local skanks A win this week has moved them up in the rankings. Still not sure why this team wants to be referred to as Skanks, but they have proven that they are not a team to sleep on (but maybe with). Keep it up Locals. i m kick james, pitch! Kick James was no match for the Rubber Busters last week as they got shut out in a 9-0 loss. Hopefully Kick James will take out their pint up aggression and runs and put them on the Locals and bounce back with a win. Let s see how it goes. recess renegades Recess was cut short this week as the Renegades tied RB&V in a tight battle that ended with no victor. Maybe they ll see them in the playoffs, maybe not. Until then the Renegades will focus on beating their remaining opponents and finishing strong. Rarr I m a Dinosaur We learned three things from the Dinos this week: They figured out how to win, their catcher won theme king, and Manawhoreous Rex is a real word. Let s see if these findings will help them out the rest of the season. Red Balls & Vodka Not only did they not lose this week (technically), their girls helped them win this week s theme (Where s the beef?). We hope to see more dressed up and more runs from RB&V for them to continue winning themes and games. all my pitches loves me Still no wins and we are starting to wonder if all of their pitches really do love them. I got on base for the first time last week so I m kicking a solid.100 What is your favorite pre-game/post-game activity? TKO of course. Who are some of your favorite Athletes? John Stockton, Charlie Ward, Fred Taylor, Jimmy Smith What did/do you want to be when you grew/grow up? President of the United States, but Al Gore invented the internet and incriminating photos of me surfaced ruined that dream. Relationship Status? Single What are some of your other hobbies besides kickball? Flag football, beach volleyball, Jaguars If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? Duuuval!!! If you won the Lotto this week, what would you do with all that money? Buy an RV and travel to watch a game at every baseball/football stadium there is. What was the last book you read? My Losing Season by Pat Conroy What has been the most interesting Entertainment news in the past 12 months? I don t stay current on my gossip but I heard 50 cent is/was possibly dating Chelsea Handler. Do your thing fiddy, you re an inspiration to all of us. VEteran of the week How did you hear about WAKA? Karen Williams - Commotion from the Ocean. How many seasons have you played? What teams? Any championships? 10 - Started with Commotion in 2009 and have played on multiple teams since. My favorites so far are Scoregasm, Pitches be Crazy, and my current team That Pitch is a Bunt. What do you think about your WAKA experience thus far? Signing up for WAKA was one of the best decisions of my adult life. Although I usually end up in Blackout City after kickball, I ve met some truly AMAZING people who I plan on remaining friends with for the rest of my life! Who are some of your favorite Athletes? I have a cat named Jeter so Derek Jeter is obviously high on my list of favs. I also have a huge crush on Ochocinco; I cannot explain this crush but am open to criticism about my taste and happen to receive a lot of it. What did/do you want to be when you grew/grow up? I had multiple aspirations yet somehow settled... Relationship Status? Single. Central America they have oceans, mountains, rainforest, volcanoes, tropical plants. I would never run out of things to do If you won the Lotto this week, what would you do with all that money? Quit my job, invest half of it and use the other half to open a nursery with rare, exotic plants so I can spend my entire day looking at and talking about cool plants (when I m not traveling the world)!
