It is fitted on more than 230 LNG carriers worldwide. It offers accurate and reliable measurement of LNG product level during import / export and STS transfers. The gauge 03304 is based on a combination of float & precision perforated INVAR tape technologies. It can be fitted with level transmitter 2047 MT, which will permit through an intrinsically safe link, to transmit information such as level, alarms, temperature & pressure. The Float Level Isolation Valve was developed with the support of Whessoe Total Automation Ltd to eliminate the problems that can occur when a gate valve is installed in the horizontal position and used as an isolation valve. It is possible to damage the float and cut the tape during operation. The process may be difficult to operate, and it is difficult for the operator to determine if the valve is open or shut. Through Bestobell LNG s knowledge and understanding of LNGCC we were able to develop the FLIV to meet the application and offer a valve designed to work in relationship with the Whessoe Float Level Gauge Description The FLIV is a Stainless Steel Valve with a built in inspection chamber. The valve has a super finish seat design for tight shut off to prevent valve leakage. The seat design has eliminated tape cutting and it is in possible to trap the float during operation. The FLIV is fitted with a gearbox which indicates if the FLIV is open or shut. The operator can work the float and the valve in the same location. The footprint is compacted and space saving. The FLIV is easy to operate and maintain and eliminates all the problems LNGCC s have with the gate valve.
