Gases, Service and Know-how.

Dynamic development, steady growth. From the beginnings as a German regional supplier in 1923, Westfalen has since grown to become a European authority on technical gases. High-capacity production plants for air gases, specialty gases, hydrogen and acetylene ensure reliability of supply, and further development of the existing infrastructure will remain a focus for investment in coming years. The Westfalengas Division, under the brand of the same name, ranks among the leading suppliers of liquefied petroleum gas (propane). Finally our Technical Gases Division offers users in every sector high-quality products and sound know-how in both supply and application, coupled with the flexibility and service levels to be expected of a market- and customer-orientated company. Development and expansion. The dynamic development of our gases business stems from the production and trading of oxygen. From being a regional supplier of just one single product, we have developed over Located at the Hörstel plant are the air separation plant (background) and Specialty Gases Centre (foreground) housing the production, filling and analysis of gas mixtures. Not shown: the filling facilities for liquefied and gaseous helium. The story of Westfalen begins in the investment-hostile climate of the economic crisis in 1923. Pursuing the company s original objective the production of oxygen the company is initially named Sauerstoffwerke AG (Oxygen Works). The company quickly takes off, expanding into new fields of business. Today Westfalen is active in three business divisions: In our Filling Stations Division we maintain the largest independently-branded filling station network in Germany. past decades to become a European authority on technical gases. Our range of products today encompasses over 300 gases and ready-made gas mixtures for every conceivable application, as well as countless individual mixtures for particular customer requirements. Our ability to offer such a broad spectrum to our customers is primarily attributable to our ongoing investment in high-capacity production plants. In this way we guarantee security of supply of gases of almost every desired composition and quality. 2 10.0/10

Productivity and quality. As a raw material, air has much to offer: the primary elements, nitrogen (around 78 %), oxygen (around 21 %) and argon (around 0.9 %) can be isolated using an air separation process. Westfalen produces these air gases in three of the most modern air separation plants in Europe: using the low-pressure process our plant at Hörstel (near Osnabrück) produces annually around 71 million cubic metres of nitrogen, 36 million cubic metres of oxygen and 1.4 million cubic metres of argon. All the gases are stored in large, specially insulated tanks with a total storage capacity of over 2.7 million cubic metres. At our Hörstel plant we also find Westfalen s Specialty Gases Centre, which has been specifically designed to ensure products of the highest purity and precision. Here gases and gas mixtures are prepared that have to meet particular demands, including those for medical use, food gases, pharma gases, analytical test and measurement gases, laser gases and gases used in chemical synthesis or the electronics industry. Numerous products are calibrated to specific customer requirements for particular applications. Also located at Hörstel is our filling facility for gaseous and liquid helium. We can also supply this much sought-after noble gas in large volumes. All high-purity gases and specialty gas mixtures are subject to stringent quality controls; sophisticated analysis guarantees the highest purities and precise mixture composition. The purity of the gases produced at the Hörstel plant is up to 99.9999 % vol. (purity 6.0). The air separation plant in Laichingen (between Stuttgart and Ulm) ensures reliability of supply in southern Germany. Annual total production is around 91 million cubic metres of nitrogen, 35 million cubic metres of oxygen and 1.4 million cubic metres of argon. Westfalen s third air separation plant, commissioned in 2010, is located at Le Creusot in France and has a capacity of some 56 million cubic metres of nitrogen, 30 million cubic metres of oxygen and 1.2 million cubic metres of argon. A modern filling plant for gaseous and liquid helium ensures the supply of this in-demand noble gas. Supply basis for the air gases nitrogen, oxygen and argon: the air separation plant at Laichingen in southern Germany. In the Specialty Gases Centre, high purity gases and specialty gas mixtures are extensively analysed and issued with test certificates. 10.0/10 3

Westfalen s hydrogen production plant produces around 21 million cubic metres of hydrogen annually. Hydrogen gas of the future. Hydrogen is today already indispensable to many industrial processes, and the importance of this primary gas is set to rise further over coming years. Westfalen s hydrogen production plant, operated as a joint venture, makes an important contribution here: the state-of-the-art plant, in Salzbergen near Osnabrück, produces hydrogen using natural gas and steam in a steam reforming process. Purity of 5.0 is achieved (just 1/1,000 % away from absolute purity). In total the plant produces 21 million cubic metres of hydrogen annually, of which around 8 million are consumed locally. The remaining 13 million cubic metres guaran- tee that the hydrogen needs of users from all sectors are met. As a result of its efficient heat recovery system the production plant also sets an example for efficient energy utilisation. 4 10.0/10

Acetylene, refrigerants and propane. In Münster-Gremmendorf we find another Westfalen production plant where in addition to the production and filling of acetylene, the site s activities include the handling of refrigerants. Among other things refrigerants intended for reclamation are comprehensively analysed here before being reintroduced to the production cycle. We also operate one of the world s most state-of-the-art filling plants for liquefied petroleum gas in Gremmendorf, in which up to 700 5 or 11 kg cylinders or 185 33 kg cylinders per hour are filled with Westfalengas brand LPG. And there s no end in sight Expansion of our production and filling capacity will form a focus for investment for Westfalen over coming years. Our robust and tactical growth guarantees gas users across all sectors the long-term availability of the products they need. Environmentally-compatible refrigerants are carefully filled at the Gremmendorf plant. Acetylene production and liquefied petroleum gas filling also take place here. Over recent years Westfalen has invested over one hundred million Euro in the building and expansion of its establishments, production and filling plants, and has also strengthened its presence in Europe, as here at Torcy in France. 10.0/10 5

Invisible aids, visible benefits. Industrial gases, special gases, welding, cutting and laser gases, propane and refrigerants: Westfalen s range represents the entire diversity of technical gases. Common standards, the highest purities and perfectly tailored mixtures raise efficiencies, quality, and throughputs. Technical gases with the most diverse properties fulfil essential roles in modern production and process technologies. These invisible aids undertake carrier, protection and control functions, supply energy, act reactively and reductively, oxidise or render inert, are cryogenic or thermal... The well-targeted use of technical gases can reduce costs, raise quality, save time or protect the environment often achieving several or all at the same time. Westfalen s product range offers the ideal product for every application. High standard: Industrial gases. The term industrial gases serves to define the conventional range of technical gases: Tried and tested qualities that come into play where a product s elementary properties are required. Our range encompasses the standard purities of argon, carbon dioxide, oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen, as well as compressed air. However, to secure the benefits for the user these standard gases must also meet specific requirements: that s why our industrial gases production is subject to tried and tested quality management. Precision and perfection: Special gases. Westfalen s special gases range can be divided into three categories: 1. Specialty gases In our Specialty Gases Centre we produce gases to meet the most challenging requirements, for example high purity gases of up to 99.9999 % vol. (purity 6.0). Or precisely calibrated gas mixtures, isotopes and isotope mixtures, which may also be produced individually to specific requirements. Our specialty gases range includes test and measurement gases for all standard analytical processes: the highest purities of argon, helium, oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen, together with synthetic air, for gas chromatography. Then there s dinitrogen monoxide, methane and propane for atomic absorption spectrometry. And all the gases necessary for flame photometry, Protection for delicate products: Protadur brand food gases. 6 10.0/10

scanning electron microscopy, blood gas analysis, and every other conventional process. Westfalen s specialty gases ensure the best results are obtained from many high technology processes: for optimizing, if you ve reached the limits of performance attainable with conventional gas qualities; for quality assurance, if only the highest purity or mixture accuracy can ensure the desired result. All high purity gases and gas mixtures undergo thorough and established testing, with the analysis results being fully documented; the highest purity gases and test gases are in fact individually certified. Westfalen s Specialty Gases Centre is accredited as a test and calibration laboratory for this purpose. 2. Gases for medical use, inhalation and pharmaceutical applications The production of gases for medical use demands acceptance of especially high responsibility, since in many situations human life can depend on our gases. In compliance with the requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia (EuAB) Westfalen produces these finished medicinal products for use in therapy: - Liquid oxygen for medical use - Oxygen for medical use - Dinitrogen monoxide for medical use However, high purity gases and gas mixtures are also necessary for diagnostic purposes, for example analysis in clinical laboratories or to ensure MRI scanners perform as they should. Healthy people may also need to use breathing gases under certain circumstances, and we provide suitable inhalation gases for divers, pilots and firefighters. Westfalen s pharma gases also provide trusted support for particularly sensitive manufacturing processes. The gases are produced in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and comply with the requirements of the European, US and Japanese Pharmacopoeia. 3. Food gases With its Protadur brand Westfalen has developed a line of products and systems that offers enormous reliability to the food products industry: the Protadur range of gases complies with the approvals, specifications and production of all the EU-wide mandatory regulations covering foodstuffs and their additives. In addition Protadur gases also meet more challenging industry-specific regulations, such as EIGA/ISBT. Adherence to these high standards is permanently monitored within the remit of our HACCP concept. The high-purity gases and gas mixtures found in the Protadur range provide an appropriate food gas for every application. The filling of gases for medical use is governed by stringent quality directives. Many things are only possible thanks to specialty gases: for example the cooling of superconducting magnets for NMR spectroscopy, using liquid helium. 10.0/10 7

Right amount, right place, right time: we supply tank installations with bulk gases in special highlyinsulated tanker and trailer units. Cutting-edge developments: Welding, cutting and laser gases. Welding and cutting technologies have forged ahead rapidly in recent years. State-of-the-art, and frequently automated, processes coupled with the exploitation of laser technology places new and greater demands on the gases used. Westfalen has actively moved with and supported these developments with innovative products which represent a synergy between performance and cost-effectiveness. Among these are the welding gases Argon He 11, Argon He 31 and Argon He 51; all three set a new standard for the welding of aluminium and its alloys. Outstanding results are also achieved with Sagox He 30/8: this shield gas, part of the Sagox range developed by Westfalen, raises the bar for MAG (Metal Active Gas) high perfor- mance welding in offering enormous process speed and outstanding weld seam quality. Sagox HC and SC offer the same benefits in the MAG welding of high-alloy steels. The Ekonor process for the orbital welding of pipe joints likewise sets a new standard with respect to weld seam quality and processing speed. Process and operating gases, precisely tuned to the requirements of the particular laser type, also find application in the laser machining of material. Individually tailored gas mixtures can also be prepared if necessary. Taken as a whole, our welding, cutting and laser gases over and above the examples quoted help ensure the successful implementation of modern technologies. Quality in quantity: Liquefied gases. We offer cryogenically liquefied or compressed gases as bulk products. Special tankers and trailer units supply large consumers with - Argon - Helium - Carbon dioxide - Oxygen - Nitrogen - Hydrogen The purities extend depending on the product to medical and 6.0 purity (99.9999 % vol.). Laser technology makes possible the precise working of materials such as aluminium or structural or stainless steels. Westfalen s operating and process gases ensure the desired outcome. 8 10.0/10

Just one of the myriad ways in which you can use Westfalengas brand propane: an economical power supply for fork lift trucks. We can also provide other products in bulk delivery on request. More than 2,000 possibilities: Propane. Propane holds a special place amongst the gases employed industrially, because with around 2,000 potential applications, it s exceptionally versatile. Applications range from flame cutting to analysis, from refrigerating to heating while propane also powers fork lift trucks and is increasingly in demand for use in cars. Under its Westfalengas brand, Westfalen ranks among the leading German LPG suppliers. Environmentally aware creation of the ideal climate: Refrigerants. Refrigeration, deep freeze, or air conditioning: Westfalen s broad range of refrigerants covers every possibility with the bonus that, in addition to high performance and economy, our products are environmentally-compatible. We obtain the very latest refrigerants exclusively from leading manufacturers, ensuring both the highest quality levels and forward-looking research. Our range of refrigerants also includes traditional and proven products, such as ammonia, carbon dioxide, propane and propene. Not the ice age: Antifrogen heat transfer fluids. Antifrogen brand heat transfer fluids are ideal for use as anti-freeze and as corrosion inhibitors in cooling and air conditioning plants, as well as in heat pumps. Propane is also ideal as a heat supply for industrial processes. Westfalen underpins the trade in new refrigerating and air conditioning systems, and the conversion of existing systems, with a broad range of refrigerants and expert consultancy. 10.0/10 9

Optimizing existing processes, driving innovation. Westfalen s gas technology engineers and technicians are continually on the lookout for new applications. From out of these many good ideas, through close cooperation with our customers and consistent further development, some outstanding solutions have emerged. The technological advances such solutions present give our customers a real competitive edge. Technical gases are employed in a myriad of industrial processes, are used for research and analytical purposes, or help to make possible much that modern medicine offers. However, the vast potential that gases can offer so many sectors remains largely unexploited. Both the optimisation of existing, and the development of new, gas processes present many opportunities. Westfalen s extensive know-how can help identify and exploit these opportunities, and this is where we are committed to creating competitive advantage for our customers. The following examples demonstrate some of our emphasis on innovation. Tempron efficient heat treatment. Westfalen s Tempron process uses shield and reactive gases to create the perfect heat treatment atmosphere in the furnace. Take Tempron H for example: this process provides hydrogen or hydrogen-nitrogen mixtures for brazing and The Tempron H process creates protective atmospheres especially for brazing and annealing. Hydrogen consumption is reduced by up to 60 % in comparison with conventional technologies. annealing, particularly of CrNi steels. Within the brazing or annealing zone, the protective atmosphere is created under 100 % vol. hydrogen. Tempron H reduces hydrogen consumption by up to 60 % compared to conventional processes, enables precise regulation of the oven atmosphere, and guarantees the highest reliability for only low outlay. In the same way as Tempron H, all Tempron variants offer numerous benefits across a range of heat treatment tasks. 10 10.0/10

Improx acting on impulse. Improx is a highly efficient process, developed on the impulse basis, for injecting oxygen into cupola furnaces. Compressed oxygen is introduced via lances into the furnace by the brief, sharp opening of valves. This intermittent injection of oxygen produces a high energy density at the nozzle enabling the precisely controlled oxygen to penetrate right to the heart of the charge, producing optimal results. The Improx process considerably reduces both melting costs and emissions, substantially increases performance and ensures the highest quality levels. Concrete cooling technology to move construction forward. Concrete is one of the most important building materials of our time, often having extreme demands placed upon it. While this applies generally, it s particularly true for ambitious building projects such as bridges and tunnels, dams or motorways. However, the chemical reaction between cement and water releases a large amount of heat, which can produce high temperature differences between the core and the surface of the concrete during hardening and result in cracking. Westfalen s concrete cooling technology effectively eliminates this risk, employing a lance system, adapted to the specific concrete mixer truck, to inject cryogenic liquefied nitrogen right into the mixer drum. Cooling takes place right there on-site, supplied either from a stationary tank or from our mobile system. This superior tried-and-tested technology offers many benefits: the cooling process takes just a few minutes, the equipment is available very quickly and can also be configured for several vehicles, and it s easy to use. Additionally, nitrogen consumption is really low. The Improx process optimises oxygen injection into the cupola furnace. Guaranteed high concrete quality around the clock, even in the hottest summer: Westfalen s concrete cooling technology. 10.0/10 11

A bigger catch oxygen for fish farming. Rising consumption of fish coupled with shrinking global marine and freshwater stocks means there is strong demand for farmed highvalue food fish. Modern processes for supplying And so much more applications for progress. More ways in which Westfalen s technical gases demonstrate their impact: without claiming to be comprehensive, the following overview provides some further areas of application: Large or small-scale fish farming, eel or trout, salmon or carp: enriching the water with oxygen always pays off. oxygen which is just as necessary to fish produce optimal rearing conditions. Whether in raceways or marine circulating aquaculture, the targeted dosing of pure oxygen improves nutrient uptake and permits higher stocking densities, resulting in shorter rearing times and lower energy costs. In this specialist application area as well, Westfalen can offer many years of experience and definitive know-how. Building industry concrete cutting; corrosion treatment; container heating; flame cutting; construction drying Chemicals industry as components in gas synthesis; hydrogenation of olefins, aromatic hydrocarbons, ketones and aldehydes; reactor and pipeline inerting; inerting of potentially explosive atmospheres Electronics industry Semiconductor manufacture; cooling of electricity generators Research and analysis for instrumental analysis (AAS, BGA, FPD, FID, FPM, GC, ICP, OFID, PID, SEM, TID); development of new drive concepts Technical gases in the glass industry: a hydrogen-oxygen torch achieves the required temperatures without any soot to produce high-quality glass laboratory products from quartz glass blanks. Medicine therapeutic: for supporting breathing, in anaesthesia, keyhole surgery; diagnostic: in blood gas analysis and MRI spectrometry; as well as: cryopreservation and the sterilisation of heat sensitive materials Metal working and machining in bright annealing, hardening, sintering, brazing, carburizing, nitriding, carbonitriding; in MIG, TIG, MAG, MAGM, resistance spot welding, plasma powder welding and forming; in laser welding and cutting; in desulphurizing, deoxidising and alloying of molten metal Paper and pulp industry in the bleaching of pulp and paper; paper sizing and finishing; disposal of waste liquor Gases also fulfil important medical roles, as here: hyperbaric oxygen therapy in pressure chambers raises the oxygen level in the blood and supports the healing process in a wide variety of illnesses. Environmental Technology in wastewater treatment; in soil decontamination Networked thinking creates synergies. The experience and know-how we gain from our work across diverse industry sectors flows into our process development and optimisation. This lateral thinking creates real synergy effects from which our customers benefit. As a rule our consulting and project engineers will prepare customer-specific solutions on-site at the user s operation. The trials that are often needed for this are planned with great care so as not to interrupt regular operations. Ideas first see the light of day at our Centre for Welding Technology in Münster, where we perform welding and cutting trials, development work and training. The technical gases user can only maximise their benefit through sound professional advice and effective testing that s how we find and unlock unused potential for you. Waste water treatment using carbon dioxide or oxygen: pressure-pulse technology raises efficiency. 10.0/10 13

Individual supply concepts, intelligent system solutions. We offer a wide range of high purity gases and gas mixtures in the convenient Alumini 12 pressure can. Right: 200 bar of pressure in a tiny package: the Alumini 200. From the Alumini pressure can to the traditional steel cylinder; from a bundle through to a stationary tank installation, from mobile system to complete on-site production: Westfalen implements tailor-made, appropriate supply concepts. You re assured of the highest efficiency, and most particularly of plant reliability. Demand-driven supply is a fundamental component of our service. We offer delivery modes and supply concepts suitable for the widest range of order volumes and operating conditions. Gas from the can: Alumini 12. The Alumini 12 pressure can for high purity gases and gas mixtures is the perfect answer to increasing miniaturisation in the analytical laboratory and in measuring technology. Weighing only 200 grams the Alumini 12 can be taken anywhere; variable, interchangeable withdrawal valves ensure high flexibility. The Alumini 12 is ideal for all measuring equipment that operates at less than twelve bar. Handy high pressure: Alumini 200. The Alumini 200 is ideal for applications above twelve bar. With a handy weight of just 1.1 kg this mini cylinder supports all mobile applications, and filled at 200 bar contains up to 100 litres of gas. This tough aluminium container is compatible with all standard valves and connections. A proven classic: Gases in steel cylinders. The most widely used delivery mode for technical gases is the traditional steel cylinder. These range from the 1 litre carbon dioxide cylinder to the 127 litre ammonia cylinder. The majority of industrial and specialty gases are available as standard in type 10 and type 50 cylinders (geometric volume 10 or 50 litres). This applies similarly to our welding, cutting and laser gases. Refrigerants are mainly available in 12.3 and 61 litre cylinders. Including the special sizes, Westfalen s cylinder fleet comprises more than Steel cylinders in a range of sizes are the most traditional form of delivery. 14 10.0/10

30 different cylinder types. The relevant filling amount is dependent on the physical properties of the respective gas and the filling pressure. We also offer the air gases argon, oxygen and nitrogen, plus compressed air, synthetic air, helium and hydrogen together with several Sagox welding shield gases and Protadur food gases, in 300 bar technology. The result is that these containers hold almost 50 % more content than cylinders filled to the normal 200 bar pressure. Concentrated capability: Cylinder bundles. Where demand is too high for single cylinders to be economical, the cylinder bundle is used. Several connected cylinders permit gas to be supplied for longer, dispensing with the need for frequent cylinder changes. Westfalen s cylinder bundles typically comprise twelve 50 litre cylinders. A little more, conveniently packaged: Transportable small tanks. A practical means of providing larger quantities of argon, carbon dioxide, oxygen and nitrogen liquefied either cryogenically or under pressure comes in the form of Westfalen s transportable small tanks of 70, 175, 230 or 600 litres. This option is suitable for continuous demand, covering short term demand peaks, or for bridging interruptions caused by maintenance or repair work. Transportable 600 litre tank for cryogenic liquefied gases. Bundle supply combines several steel cylinders typically 12 into a single unit. How would you like your noble gas? The noble gas helium is in demand. In gaseous form in pressure cans, in the traditional gas cylinder or in the special trailer. Liquefied in the socalled Dewar, or in the ISO container. In other words: Westfalen can provide you with just as much helium as you need. Every option is possible, from the Alumini 12 pressure can with a geometrical volume of 1 litre up to the 41,000 litre container. So: how would you like your noble gas? Mobile liquefied helium: the so-called Dewars hold between 60 and 380 litres of this sought-after noble gas. 10.0/10 15

Erecting a 115,000 litre hydrogen tank, weighingin at 43 tonnes. Real size: Stationary tank installations. For large users gas supply from stationary tanks is ideal. Systems with storage capacities between 2,000 and 78,000 litres ensure constant availability of the cryogenic liquefied gases argon, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and oxygen, and we can also provide larger capacity systems if required. Gas can be withdrawn in either liquid or gaseous form as preferred. For the supply of gaseous compressed hydrogen or helium, vertical or horizontal tanks are available with a capacity of between 45,000 and 115,000 litres. Individual supply where it s needed: On-site concepts. Certain applications may justify the installation of a production facility for the necessary gases right where they are required. This may be a large-scale project, such as supplying a refinery with nitrogen and compressed air. However, these on-site systems can also offer potential savings for medium-sized companies: only the amounts of gas actually required are produced, minimising transport and procurement costs. The development of on-site concepts appropriate to your needs, as well as their erection, monitoring and maintenance, are an integral part of our service offering. Westfalen delivers total on-site solutions for the air gases nitrogen and oxygen as well as for hydrogen and compressed air individually or in combination. A new era: Mobile gas supply. With its innovative range of mobile gas supply systems Westfalen ensures the prompt availability of technical gases wherever they are needed. Whether covering peak demand, intermediate supply for conversion and maintenance purposes, or for use in the field, mobile supply systems are particularly well-suited to the task. A bit more detail: The MCC 7000 Mobile Cold Converter is a mobile tank for the transport and storage of liquid argon, carbon dioxide, oxygen and nitrogen. Depending on the product and operating conditions it has a capacity of between 3,700 and 5,600 cubic metres. The Kryotainer is a super-insulated container for argon, oxygen and nitrogen and can be employed as both transport and storage tank. The Kryotainer has a capacity of up to 14,350 cubic metres. The MAV 1180 (Mobile Atmospheric Vaporizer) is a unit comprising two air vaporizers for argon, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and oxygen. The two vaporizers each have a nominal capacity of 590 cubic metres per hour and can be operated with two different products at the same time. The Transinert 5000 (Transportable inertising unit) is a separately heated vaporizer for argon, nitrogen and oxygen and can be supplied from a stationary tank, mobile unit or directly from the tanker. Maximum throughput is 8,000 standard cubic metres per hour. Westfalen s mobile high pressure pump permits simple and flexible high pressure gas supply. The system comprises a powerful reciprocating pump with auxiliary unit and connection equipment, high pressure vaporizer, waste heat exchanger and a control unit for pump monitoring and control. All components are compactly mounted on a swap-body and are pre-installed connectionready, so start-up is as fast as possible. The high pressure pump achieves maximum throughput of 16 10.0/10

400 standard cubic metres per hour in steplesslyadjustable settings up to 200 bar. MCC, Kryotainer, MAV, Transinert and mobile high pressure pump may be combined with each other or with stationary systems to meet particular needs, providing major benefits to the user and facilitating flexible planning. Comprehensive concepts, perfectly executed. Taking into consideration all the relevant aspects, Westfalen s gas technology engineers and technicians will prepare the most efficient and effective solution for your gas supply. This includes analysis of the current operations and the required quantities, planning and project management of the supply installation, realisation through to acceptance by the technical inspectorate and the performance of periodic checks. All necessary parts for your gas supply including pipework, measurement and regulatory units, and valves will be matched to your requirements and local conditions. The system can incidentally be equipped with our own convenient Datafer remote data transmission system, which ensures the supply chain is uninterrupted. The individuality of our supply concepts and their excellent technical implementation assure you of the highest efficiency and exceptional plant reliability. Really flexible: mobile gas supply systems are in place quickly and can readily be combined together. Here for example the MCC 7000 mobile cold converter (foreground) is complemented by the mobile high pressure pump. On-site supply: using the LIN Assist principle this plant produces nitrogen right where it s needed. 10.0/10 17

at both the national and international level, and ensures the traceability of all results in accordance with international standards. Certified and practised: Quality management. Quality at first sight is a rather abstract concept. However, we would like to invite you simply to get to know our view of quality in the real world: in product, in how we work together, in service, in results, or equally in whatever quality indicator you would prefer. Our quality management system is defined in accordance with the requirements of EN ISO 9001, to which the Technical Gases Division has been certified since 1995. One simple yet distinctive statement is born from the principles of our quality policy: quality concerns us all! Committed to the environment: Management to EN ISO 14001. A company s future direction is also reflected in its environmental commitment, and environmental considerations have been integral to Westfalen s corporate planning for many years. We feel it is important we reduce potential environmental impact, and as far as possible eliminate this completely. At our important Hörstel production site we have established an environmental management system compliant with the requirements of Directive 1836/93/EC and EN ISO 14001. Owing to our many environmental activities Westfalen has already twice been distinguished for environmentally-aware management. Continual growth: The future. There is a great deal of evidence that a company s size is no measure of its long-term market success. That s why we never forget our roots and our identity as a family-owned company, which over the years has determined and underpinned our growth. In this way we established ourselves as a gas supplier with all that this entails initially nationwide in Germany, and eventually in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Austria, Czechia and Switzerland as well. Westfalen s future development will also be characterised by solid growth, but in every case adapted to the particular requirements of the individual markets. That s how we guarantee our customers excellent technical gases solutions in the long-term. Goal-driven and reliable: Collaboration. Now you know what we offer, and you have some understanding of our range of services, of what we re all about and where we came from. But if you re still not convinced, why not ask for proof? Experience for yourself what working with Westfalen really means, and experience in practice the value we put on good customer relations. You can simply profit from all that we have to offer you! Continual growth, and everything that entails: Westfalen invests year on year in building on its facilities. Westfalen guarantees reliable gas supply in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Austria, Czechia and Switzerland. 10.0/10 19
