FIL World Lacrosse Championship 2014 This document provides details of the playing schedule for the 2014 World Lacrosse Championship to be held in Denver, Colorado, USA over the period 10th - 19th July 2014 The competing teams are : Argentina Canada England Ireland Latvia Poland Spain Uganda Australia China Finland Iroquois Nationals Mexico Republic of Korea Sweden USA Austria Colombia France aksndklansnasd Netherlands Russia Switzerland Wales Belgium Costa Rica Germany Italy New Zealand Scotland Thailand Bermuda Czech Republic Hong Kong Japan Norway Slovakia Turkey The schedule is based on the agreed format for Championships with a "seeded" top 6 teams (Blue Division), who each play each other. The schedule allows the opportunity through the structure below this and the "Play In" games for all Full Member teams to reach the final (gold medal game). The Play In structure also allows trams to advance their position. The number of games is broadly the same for all teams with those in the Play In Games playing one more and those in the 37 /38th Positional Game one less. The Blue Division game schedule, previously published has been updated for inclusion of the Iroquois Nationals rather than Germany. Other teams have been placed in divisions reflecting performance at the 2010 World Championship and including members who did not compete at that event and members who have joined since. The divisions comprise 4 teams who play each other in pool games to determine relative positions and are then grouped as follows : Following the 3 days of Pool play teams will be ranked within the pool divisions Red White Green Yellow Orange Plum Turquoise Grey A 1st 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 B 2nd 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 C 3rd 3 3 3 3 3 3 3 3 D 4th 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 and then grouped into sets of 8 for positional determining positions / play in opportunities on Days 4 and 5, July 14th and 15th Top group of 8 will be all teams that finish in top position within their pool division ( Red 1, White 1, etc.) and the second group 2 second placed teams etc. within the 2nds and 3rds to obtain groupings as below: General 6/13/14
