Only one pony from each class qualifies, and the highest placed (not already qualified), from the first 3 ponies in each class will qualify. All ponies in these classes must be owned, registered and ridden by B.S.P.S. Members, and animals must be registered with the A.H.S. to compete in classes 83 and 84. This Show is a qualifier for the BSPS Championships Show.

THE BSPSCLASSIC SECURITY CHALLENGE 2018 as per rule 516 in the 2018 BSPS Rule and Show handbook. LR, FR, Open Show Ponies, Nursery Stakes, Open W.H.P.s, Open S.H.P.s, Open Intermediates, Open Heritage LR, FR, Ridden, W.H.P. The highest placed pony that has not qualified for the 2018 H.O.Y.S., in the appropriate class, will qualify. If the highest placed pony has already qualified for the B.S.P.S. Challenge the qualification will be awarded to the next eligible pony. If after qualifying a pony qualifies for the H.O.Y.S., it will forfeit it's qualification for the "B.S.P.S. Challenge". Cradle Stakes & Lead Rein of Hunter Type - The highest placed pony that has not qualified for the B.S.P.S. Challenge will qualify, if the highest placed pony has already qualified the qualification will be awarded to the next eligible pony. B.S.P.S. BLACK COUNTRY SADDLES RIDER OF THE YEAR The Best Rider in each of the following Open Classes will be awarded a Best Rider Card and qualify for the final at the Summer Championships Show:- Lead Rein, First Ridden, Lead Rein of Hunter Type, 128, 138 & 148 Show Pony, 122, 133, 143, 153 S.H.P., Cradle Stakes, Nursery Stakes, 133, 143, 153 W.H.P., Intermediate SRT, WH & SH, Open Heritage Lead Rein, First Ridden and to the best rider 25yrs and under in the Heritage Ridden and W.H.P. classes. Please telephone 01487 831 376 For further information. Premier League This show is a qualifier for the B.S.P.S. Premier League. The 1st, 2nd,3rd and 4th placed ponies in classes 6,13-18,29 will qualify. Ponies placed 1st in the Open Heritage M&M Classes will qualify for the BSPS WOW Factor (Winners of Winners) at the BSPS Summer Championship Show. BRITISH SHOW HORSE ASSOCIATION Held under the rules of the British Show Horse Association. Competitors & Horses must be registered or have temporary membership with a Day Ticket. Horses registered with the Association must be Owned, Exhibited and Ridden by current BSHA Members. Riders must be 15 years of age or older. Registration numbers must be quoted on entry form. Classes 48-54 are qualifying classes for the Royal International Horse Show. The first in each class will qualify, if 1st has already qualified 2nd will qualify.

If 1st & 2nd have already qualified then 3rd will qualify. Horses placed 1st, 2nd & 3rd in classes 48-54 will qualify for the B.S.H A. Classic Supreme Classes at The Championship Show to be held in September, 2018 Horses competing in Sport Horse Breeding classes of (GB) classes at affiliated shows cannot compete in Hack & Riding Horse classes at the same show. This does not apply to SHB(GB) Ridden Sport Horse Classes. DAY TICKETS Non-Members may purchase up to a maximum of 2 Day Tickets per Exhibitor, per Horse, per Rider, per season. A Day Ticket will allow entry into Amateur, Home Produced, In-Hand, Novice, Working, Young Rider and Open Affiliated classes only, but will NOT allow entry into RIHS or HOYS qualifying classes. Horses registered on a Day Ticket do not require a JMB height certificate. Competitors can apply for a Day Ticket by downloading an application form from the BSHA website. Horses competing in the Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain classes at their Affiliated Shows cannot compete in Hack, Cobs and Riding Horse classes at the same show, on the same day and vice versa. This does not apply to SHB (GB) Ridden Sport Horse classes. The three highest placed prize winners in all Open Affiliated classes will qualify to compete in the BSHA Classic Supreme classes at the National Championship Show 2018 The BSHA offer a Novice, Young Rider and Amateur rosette in each Open class and a Champion rosette for each section (with the exception of Open Working Show Horse, Ladies Show Horse & HOYS Hunter classes). The Association will also award an Amateur Home Produced rosette in all Affiliated Open Cob(light and heavyweight only) classes. The rosettes have been kindly sponsored by TSG, Mr L Turley. The awards will go down the line; there is no limit on how many of these rosettes can be claimed in a year. (Please see Wording for Class Descriptions for classification split.) Any Show with Intermediate classes Rising Stars Any exhibitor placed in the first three in Intermediate classes for Show Riding Type or Show Hunter Type may enter the Rising Stars class at the BSHA National Championship Show September 2018. No qualifying cards are required. The BSHA offer a Novice, Amateur and Young Rider rosette in each Open class and a Championship rosette for each section.

SPORT HORSE BREEDING OF GREAT BRITAIN The Show is affiliated to the S.H.B.(G.B.) and competitors are REQUIRED to abide by its 2018 rules and regulations. Please refer to the SHB of( GB) Rule Book. Owners, Riders and Producers of horses competing in RIHS classes run in accordance with Sport Horse Breeding of GB must be a member of the society. Day tickets = 30 (this entitles competitors to compete at a maximum of 1 show in the year- it covers owner and rider membership together with horse registration for that show). If the class is a qualifying class for RIHS, in order for the qualification to be valid, application for full owner/rider membership and horse registration must be received in the SHB (GB) office within 14 days. Amateur Rules including Amateur Working Hunter A person is an amateur for showing purposes when showing ridden hunters in an amateur class if he/she does not:- a) Engage in breeding, livery, buying, selling, dealing or hiring horses as a main source of income since 1st January, 2016 b) Accept remuneration, either money or goods in kind for employment in connection with horses in a racing, showing or livery stable or riding school, (instruction at Pony Club and Riding School excepted) as a main source of income since 1st January, 2016. c) Show a horse owned or sponsored by a company or commercial form, or a horse for which his or her immediate family accepts livery or training charges from a person outside the immediate concern since 1st January, 2016. d) Show a horse a professional rider has ridden in any ridden hunter or ridden sport horse class during the current year with the exception of working hunter and ladies hunter classes unless the horse has subsequently been re registerd under new ownership. e) Professional show persons must not enter the Amateur ring whilst the classes are in progress.a Professional show person is another term for a professional producer and as such a professional groom who works for a producer can enter the ring to groom. Please telephone 01732 866277 for further information. f) A professional rider must not ride or exercise an amateurs horse on the day it is competing in amateur classes. BRITISH SKEWBALD AND PIEBALD ASSOCIATION Classes 86-88 are affiliated to the British Skewbald & Piebald Association and are qualifiers for the Royal International Horse Show, Hickstead and the BSPA WCC. Classes will be judged under BSPA rules download from www.bspaonline.com. All horses / ponies must be registered and all owners and riders must be BSPA members prior to the show. Rider s age taken from 1st

January. Membership and qualification cards must be carried in the ring by competitors and produced as required for inspection or signature. Failure to do so will mean disqualification. Spurs may not be worn in any pony class. Ponies 153cms and under (Shetlands exempt) must possess a current JMB height certificate. All stallions must be graded with BSPA and in possession of a BSPA stallion ID card which must be carried at all times and produced on request. All stallions must wear a 2018 Blue BSPA Stallion disc. No rider under 15 may exhibit a stallion in any class. No competitor / owner / horse may compete in this class or enter the ring without current 2018 membership of BSPA and a RIHS qualification card. Qualification: 1st place and the next unqualified competitor standing 2nd or 3rd qualify from each class. No competitor may qualify from lower than 3rd place. Skewbald & Piebald horses / ponies only. Highest placed amateur and highest placed junior in each class qualify for the Amateur and Junior Supreme Championship finals to be held at BSPA World of Colour Championships at College Equestrian Centre, Keysoe, Bedfordshire. PONIES UK RIHS YOUNG RIDERS /AMATEUR RIDERS MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND CLASSES Owners must be Adult/Life Members. Riders must be current P(UK) Members and the ponies currently be registered with P(UK) before time of entry to compete in these classes. The highest placed exhibit not already qualified within the first five will receive notification of their qualification for the RIHS Young Riders M&M Ridden and the highest placed pony and rider not already qualified within the first five will qualify for the P(UK) RIHS Amateur Riders M&M Finals at RIHS Hickstead ( 26th July 2018).QUALIFICATION WILL BE VERIFIED BY THE OFFICE SHOW REGULATIONS 1. All entries together with the correct fee must reach the Secretary by 18.4.2018. Entries can be taken on line or Cheques or P.O made payable to B.S.P.S Area 1a. Late entries MAY be taken at an increased fee. 2. This Show is affiliated to the BSPS and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in classes whether or not members of the BSPS are subject to the Constitution & Rules of the BSPS including the disciplinary procedures of the BSPS and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the BSPS. 3. The Show will be under the management of the Committee which will have the power to adjudge any dispute. The decision will be final.

4. The Committee will not be responsible for or liable for any loss or damage which exhibits pertaining to or connected with any exhibitor may sustain at the Show neither will the Committee be accountable in any way for accidents that may occur to any person attending the Show. 5. B.S.P.S. 1A MEMBERS SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP North East Rosettes has very kindly sponsored the Best of the Best Supreme Championship The Dorothy Pittendrigh Supreme Championship is open to the highest placed area 1A member in any of the B.S.P.S classes. Please wear a red armband when you are competing if you are eligible for the supreme which will take place at the conclusion of the B.S.P.S classes. The Supreme Champion will qualify for the Area Best of the Best Championship held at the BSPS Summer Championships. DIANNE MILLER SUPREME M&M CHAMPIONSHIP Open to first prize winners in all M&M classes. You do not need to be a BSPS Area 1a member to compete in this supreme in Diannes Memory. This class will be judged as a whole but all ponies will be brought in a walk and then the class will be divided for the go round into small and large breeds the two sections will then be lined up together to do the individual show and conformation and the result will be decided on the highest scores achieved. QUALIFIERS, 2018 These classes are affiliated to the British Skewbald and Piebald Association and are qualifiers for the Royal International Horse Show, Hickstead. Classes will be judged under B.S.P.A. rules, copies of which can be obtained from them. All horses, owners and riders must be members or the B.S.P.A. prior to the Show. Riders age is taken as Jan. 1st. All stallions must be graded and licensed by

B.S.P.A. and in possession of a B.S.P.A Stallion Card. No rider under 15 may exhibit a stallion. Membership and qualification cards must be carried in the ring by competitors and produced when required for inspection or signature. Spurs may not be worn in any pony class.
