ONLY ONE (1) DAY OF RACING JULY 26, 2014 We will have only one (1) day of racing. We will attempt to squeeze all divisional races and industry races all into one day. For New Participants We encourage you to get involved!!! For teams who have never entered a Dragon Boat race, all you need is a wild gung ho crew of 18 paddlers that are willing to picnic with friends, families and their happy children at Ala Moana Beach Park (closer to the Magic Island area). We supply the boat, the paddles, personal floatation device (pfd) and the steersmen with approximately three (3) practice sessions. If you win your race heat, you continue to advance to the next winning bracket. GOVERNMENT TEAM PARTICIPANTS, including all military and armed forces All Federal, State, City and County teams are free entries (No Charge). All levels of government may enter more than one team and there will no charge for additional teams. Although your team entries are free (meaning no charge) you will still need to provide 2 volunteers to assist the dragon boat committee for 2 hours. Please contact Denton Chun to select your volunteer time slots. INTERNATIONAL RACE TEAMS, CONTINENTIAL USA TEAMS AND OTHER OUTER ISLAND TEAMS If you team is travelling from an international country, from continental USA or from anyone of our outer islands, your team entry fee is free (meaning no charge). You may enter more than one team and there will no charge for additional teams. Your team will still need to provide 2 volunteers to assist the dragon boat committee for 2 hours. Please contact Denton Chun to select your volunteer time slots. PRACTICE SESSIONS Practices have already started. Sand Island Regional Park, next to the BMX bike riders course. Contact Wendy Loh via email at: JPAloha@hawaii.rr.com to begin registering your practices. First to register first to practice. We will allocate 3 practices for each team. Additional practices are available based upon available time slots.

TEAM VOLUNTEER In order to keep our planning cost down, we appreciate your team s assistance in providing two (2) volunteers on the race day for 2 hours of assistance. The volunteers will be requested to appear at either the Diamond Head or Ewa Race Start Line. Your assistance will involve being in waist high water.
