High school students can participate in the 100-meter dash, as well as the seeded 800-meter invitational run if they meet the qualifying times. Spiked shoes are not allowed.

Today s Notes The Jamboree events are organized by grade: pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and first grade, second and third grades, fourth and fifth grades, sixth grade, seventh and eighth grades, and high school. Shot-put weights will vary by grade level. Please refer to the schedule or registration form for details regarding this and other events open to your child. SEEDED AND DEVELOPMENTAL SECTIONS For second grade and above, events have both seeded and developmental sections. Select seeded if your child meets the qualifying time/distance. Select developmental if your child doesn t meet the qualifier, is new to the sport, or doesn t have (or know) a time/distance for the event. REGISTRATION At registration, runners will receive event stickers and a wristband with their emergency contact information, which they will wear in their events. Children can enter up to two events. Please affix the event stickers to their shirts before they go to the clerking area. A staff member will remove the sticker after the event. ROTATIONS When your child s event rotation is called, he or she should report to the clerking area at the south end of the track. NYRR staff will be present to direct your child. Please pay close attention to rotation announcements, as events may run ahead of schedule. POST EVENT For those in pre-k through fifth grade, there will be a family reunion area near the north end of the track, where youth participants will be chaperoned by NYRR staff to reunite with their parent/guardian after finishing their events. Each youth participant will receive a ribbon after the event. They will also receive a free T-shirt, which can be picked up throughout the day. Shirts can only be picked up by the participant. RESTROOMS & CONCESSIONS Restrooms and concession stands can be found on the second floor.
