Albany Equestrian Centre "ALBANY SHOW" DRESSAGE COMPETITION 13th November 2016 Albany Equestrian Centre, Roberts Road, Albany Offering classes from Preparatory to Advanced for AEC, EA & AEC Day Members. Conditions of Entry Acceptance of Conditions A completed entry acknowledges understanding and acceptance of all Conditions of Entry. Rules This event will be conducted in accordance with the current EA Dressage Rules (as amended) and FEI Dressage Rules (as amended). Eligibility Riders must be financial members of the Albany Equestrian Centre or Equestrian Australia. Day membership of the Albany Equestrian Centre is available on payment of an additional $10 fee. Classes a) Competitor Classes (i) Rider must be a Competitor member of Equestrian Australia (ii) Horses & Ponies must be Equestrian Australia registered and hold a current Dressage Performance Card (iii) Ponies must hold a current, valid Equestrian Australia height certificate. b) Participation/Restricted Albany Equestrian Centre Member Classes Riders must be either a Participant member of Equestrian Australia, or a member of the Albany Equestrian Centre c) Restricted Albany Equestrian Centre Member Classes Riders must be members of the Albany Equestrian Centre Registration & Performance Cards All membership and registration documents must be available on request. (For Competitor classes, copy of current valid Dressage Card to be provided with entry). Riding Attire Formal riding attire is required for this event and permitted 'Dress, Saddlery and Equipment' is set out in Section 2 of the EA Dressage Rules.
Tests A maximum of 3 tests per horse/rider combination are offered. Closing Date Friday, 4th November 2016. Late entries may be accepted after this date, on payment of an additional fee of $15 per horse/rider combination. Helper Duties Riders may self-help for one horse only. If riding more than 1 horse, an additional helper will need to be provided or an additional helper fee of $50 will be payable. Please indicate which duties your helper can perform on the entry form. Please report for your helper duty 10 minutes prior to your scheduled helper duty time. Draw Information The draw will be available on the Albany Equestrian Centre website (www.albanyequestrian.net/comingevents); and the Southern Districts Dressage Club website (www.sddc.org.au/site/compvalentines) Amendments to the draw may be made no later than 48 hours before the start of the event. While every attempt will be made to adhere to the start times in the draw, it is the rider's responsibility to be aware if an arena is running ahead of schedule. If this does occur, the rider may be asked to ride up to 15 minutes earlier than the scheduled time. Changes of Riders & Horses Riders may be changed before the start of the class. However, a rider of a horse may not be changed if another rider has ridden the horse on the day either in warm-up or in the competition. Horses cannot be changed and the draw position cannot be altered without the permission of the Organising Committee. Protests and Appeals These must be in writing and accompanied by a fee of $50. The SDDC Protest Protocol (www.sddc.org.au/site/competitions) will be used in determining all protests/appeals. Presentations Presentations will take place at the completion of the event in the Mike Stidwell arena. Competitors are asked to attend presentation in full competition attire. Dogs Must be on a leash at all times. If complaints are made regarding an unruly dog the Organising Committee may require the dog to be removed from the event.
Yards and Camping There are yards and camping available at the AEC however no powered sites. If yards are used they must be cleaned of manure and hay before leaving the AEC. If camping, please camp in the designated area only. Refunds and Scratchings Entry fees will not be refunded after the closing date of entries unless a medical or veterinary certificate is produced within 5 days of the completion of the event (18 November 2016), and in such cases, there will be a full refund less an administration fee of $10. Officials, ground staff and volunteers These people are essential to the running of the event. Please treat them with respect. Poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated. Verbal or physical bullying behaviour will be reported to the Organising Committee and disciplinary action will be taken where appropriate. Duty of Care It is your responsibility to promptly report unsafe and or hazardous situations to the Event Organiser. Disclaimer of Liability Neither the Organising Committee, EA nor SDDC accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, grooms, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever. All riders must complete the Dangerous Activity Acknowledgement and lodge with the entry form.
