Special trophy for anyone who finishes all 5 races! The Cedar Hill Race Festival is a collaborative effort between the Texas H.S. Cycling League, Cedar Hill, Armeaux Cycling, and Cedar Hill State Park supporting TXHSCL activities developing scholastic cycling across Texas. Races are standard USAC races. Promoter may combine races or adjust length if field minimums not met in pre-reg. ** Masters 50+(1/2/3/4) & 60+(open) paid together but scored separately, & Women s p/1/2/3/4 scored & paid separately from Masters Men. Women s 3/4, 40+ 3/4/5, & 5 scored & paid separately. Junior boys 9-14 cat 4/5, Jr girls 9-14, & Scholastic Open race together but scored separately. Min. total prize list for weekend = $5,305. Specifics for Each Race More info & interactive map links at cedarhillracefestival.org *Timing transponders required for race scoring: $5 rental or purchase onsite Road Races: Saturday & Sunday ALL DAY Feb. 3 rd & 4 th TXBRA, Texas Cup State Races A 1.9 mile loop of the interior road at Cedar Hill State Park. The road is beautifully smooth and racers will have the whole road as we're turning it into a one-way traffic pattern. Counter-clockwise Saturday & clockwise on Sunday. The course is twisty with one significant hill (87+ feet of climbing) each lap and has views of Joe Pool Lake as well as the hills of Cedar Hill. But stop looking around you re supposed to be racing! Hill Climb Trial: Saturday morning Feb. 3 rd TXBRA, Texas Cup State Race An approximately.9 mile route mostly uphill on West Belt Line Rd. in the City of Cedar Hill. TT staging will be at the back gate of the state park and can only be accessed through the inside of Cedar Hill State Park. ALL TT participants MUST enter the main entrance of the state park. There will be NO TT parking outside the back gate of the park or along the TT course. The TT start is just outside the back gate of the park and the finish will be at the top of the hill just before Mobley Rd. During the TT roads will remain open to traffic so use caution. Before you panic, this stretch of West Belt Line Rd. is a dead-end, off-shoot of the main Belt Line you probably know and this stretch is used only to accesses a few, small 1-2 street neighborhoods. The TT is about.9 mile in length with a 5% average grade and 11% at the steepest. TT is Pre-Reg ONLY MTB Short Track & Cross Race: Saturday afternoon Feb. 3 rd Same location as 2017 The course and race will be a MTB Short Track / Cross race in one so it will be MTB short track in style with no dismounting required! The course is around the Road Race parking & start/finish line and all MTB Short Track Cross races will be in during the Men s Pro/1/2/3 and 3/4 road races. MTB SpeedWaves Finals: Sunday morning Feb. 4 th $2,000 total cash purse Race is one full 12-mile lap of the undulating Cedar Hill State Park Mountain Bike Trail. Qualificationbased waves offering up to 20 different SpeedWaves for riders and racers of all ability! Waves are arranged so as to form racing groups of about 10-15 riders each. Our goal is to match you with your very closest competition across "categories." Qualify for your wave based on any of the following: A. performance in any 2017 off road (Mtn. or Cross) race. B. performance in pre-2017 SpeedWaves events or Cedar Hill State Park events. C. USAC MTB or CX category and class (age group) MTB is Pre-Reg ONLY. FIELD SIZES: Min. field size per start wave: 5. Max field size per start wave: 20. Promoter may combine fields to meet field mins. Min. MTB entries req d for full payout is 99 race entries: 50-98 entries = max reduction of 50% of full payout; 1-49 entries = max reduction of 70% of full payout.
